Question about Nikon COOLPIX L12 Digital Camera
I have a Nikon L12. I have 2 problems with this at the moment and I dont know how to solve.
The camera says "Batteries Exhausted" when I put brand new batteries in. I have tried rechargable batteries and even bought new batteries as it said the previous ones where exhausted.
The pictures it takes are also very blurry. Generally at night but this also happens during the day. Please can you help!!
I may be able to help with the battery problem. Two suggestions:
1) With a WHITE eraser (preferably at the end of a pencil) rub the metal tabs in the camera that makes contact with the batteries. They may be slightly corroded. DON'T use a pink eraser. A fine sandpaper will also work, but is more difficult to work with inside a small space.
2) The metal tabs may be pushed in too far. You may need to pry them out with a small flat-head screw driver or needle nose pliers. Do so gently.

ITS NOT THE BATTERIES -- check out the internet (google "nikon coolpix battery exhausted" and you'll see hundreds of people are experiencing this glitch. best fix i've found so far: remove batteries and memory card, then replace batteries and try again. Maybe firmware update works too, but this fix is not confirmed.

note, and to try to help gain a solution to your problem...
(the Nikon Coolpix L110) uses special batteries made by Nikon and they are
very adamant on not using other battery brands... in fact, using
other brands may negate their warranty. Is it possible yours also requires a
because I'm having the same problems with my camera and just learned of the
special Coolpix batteries. I guess I should have read the instructions more
thoroughly,.. but I don't recall seeing this before tonight while I was looking for a
solution to my own problem; blurry pictures as well.
I'm going to try the Coolpix batteries to see if this helps. Perhaps you might do the same if you find yours also uses a special battery. Good luck!
