Can anyone Tell me what resistor goes into spot R850? and where i can order it?

Thanks for the help, The resistor does look like the one in spot R 846 but with different color bands. I replaced the convergence IC's with STK392-110's and nothing happened then i noticed the blown resistor. I checked the rest of the resistors that is the only one I need to change but I can't get a reading off of it to change it. Should I get a 1.5 ohm 2 watt? and Should I get new IC's and upgrade?? I will order from acme-sales when you write back....Thanks for your help I really appreciate it

I don't have a schematic here so I'm shooting entirely from memory... the 850 series position tells me you're in the convergence circuit and I would guess you're replacing some of the yoke return resistors.. Are there any color bandings on that resistor? How about compare it to R846 which I know is a yoke return resistor (it's a 1.5 ohm / 2w) and does it look about the same?
Now I'm going to be really pushy - - - the heading here says you changed the ICs and I would assume you're referring to the convergence Ics? Both are a STK392-110 factory, what did you change them to and where did you get them?? Reason I ask is that there are a lot of chineese knock-offs out there and they won't last sometimes past pressing the power button. And usually with these units I upgrade to a higher amp Ic for greater reliability like a STK392-150 or 180... In addition take a dmm or annalog ohm meter and test all the low ohm resistors in that youke return. A resistor doesn't have to look burned to have changed in value...
Where do you get them... Try Acme Enterprises in Florida.. They have quality Sanyo original Ics and prices are cheaper than anywhere else you'll find in the US...
Have a great day and good luck on your repair!

Personally I'd get the upgrade Ic's from acme and install them...

I did also acquire the service manual this evening. R850 is a 2.2 ohm 1w which I would personally upgrade to a 2w... Acme sells those also in a bag of 10 for $1.99 and you might as well check and change out all the 2.2 ohm 1w for the higher 2w... BTW the color banding on that is red-red-gold-gold and you should see serveral others in that area...

Don't have remote is there another way to line up colors I've already changed the convergence chips but not the resistors

Chances are the new ICs have failed since the 6.8 ohm resistors werent changed a phillips will almost always blow one or two of the 6.8 ohm resistors and if new ICs are installed without replaceing the resistors the new ICs are usually destroyed by the blown resistors. You will need the original remote or authorized replacement to adjust the convergence properly.

No color adjustment or convergence

You need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK3920110 Ics you may also need a couple of the 6.8 ohm 1/2 watt resistors as that chassis will usually open a couple of the 6.8 resistors. you can get repalcement ICs and resistors at the following link.

Manual convergence -service mode

you have some resistors that are still open . If the ICs go a resistor or two usually go open and you cant always tell unless you remove 1 leg out of circuit and check that the resistance is within 5% of the rated resistance. Trying to adjust it by the service menu will only place extra strain on the new ICs and they will blow on you. The resistors are located right next to the ICs there are about 8 of them all I dentical. Very easy to spot.

Panasonic IC's

usually you can see the resistors being a little discolored as they dont have color bands on them. If you dont notice any discoloration on those resistor you should be good to go. There are about 7 or 8 resistors right next to the ics they stand up off the boards easy to spot, just look them over real good.if you notice any discoloration let me know the code stamped on the resistor and I will give you the ratings of the resistors.

Bad Resistor

Guess I should have looked to see that you had a second post. I justa answered one and here's some of the answers to my questions..
Brown - green - grey - gold would be a 1500m resistor and I would HIGHLY doubt they used something that intolerent in the convergence circuit... It's more likely to be a 1.5 ohm resistor which is brown - green - gold - gold and the grey you're looking at my just be discolored from heat stress...
Take a look at my previous post and tell me what you find after you make some comparisons.
