Re: Miele Touchtronic G892 SC Water leak at base of door

Check the rubber seal around the door to see if its torn or smashed. if it is replace it, could someone have set somthing heavy on the door while it was open that would have stressed the hinges. it is most likely one of these problems take a nail file and slid it gently between the door and the body of the dishwasher if it slides in easy where it leaks you know the seal is bad and replace it.

This seems to be a failure of the main program controller unit.It needs to be confirmed that the unit received power, if so the controller is faulty.
Check if there is any fuse , check if there is line break to the unit.

My Miele G892 SC Touchtronic dishwaser is leaving a powder soap scum over all the dishes. What do I do?

Make sure you have at least 125 degrees going into the unit. If your using detergent power make sure you don't over use rise aid. Many brands have rise aid already.
Hope that helps!

Do you have a meile g892 dishwasher?

a G892SC - for over 6 years now. It's so quiet that many a time I've opened the door to put something in it, only to discover it'd been running (rinsing, etc., not drying!) the whole time! Despite 3 years in the Army and lots of Rock concerts, I have no hearing loss ;-)

One year ago, the little orange plastic detergent lid latch broke. And considering how well-made the rest of the unit is, it was not as robust as the rest of the DW. I Emailed Miele, and they sent out a repairman who replaced the entire soap unit on the door for FREE, even though it was well out of warranty. You pay more, and you get more.

you should have a dispenser on the door to add salt, regardless get c.l.r. calcium lime rust remover from a supermarket, lowes, home depot.put a cup in the unit ,run for 15 minutes and then put a cup in again.let the unit complete its cycle.if you still smell the odor repeat until its could also use baking soda, flour or vinegar.

Miele G892 SC dishwasher not heating/cycle won't stop

Miele have cold inlet only. Either element is open circuit, or the relay that switches the element has failed. My money would be on the element first, then the relay. The machine will sit in that mode forever as it is waiting for the temperature of the water to reach a certain temp before telling the electronic unit to move to the next part of the wash. If you need assistance in how to test & how to get to these parts just let me know. But you will need an ohm meter to test the element. Regards
