I wish to use my HP Photosmart C8180 to print heavy weight cardstock... is there a setting that I can select to do this?

Step Three: Check the paper type Verify that only recommended paper is being used for printing. The recommended paper types and weights for most HP printers include:
  • Plain paper, 20 to 24 lb (75 to 90 gsm)
  • Legal size paper, 20 to 24 lb (75 to 90 gsm)
  • Card stock, up to a maximum of 110 lb (200 gsm)
  • Envelopes, 20 to 24 lb (75 to 90 gsm)
  • Photo paper, 145 lb (236 gsm)
NOTE: Supported paper weights and types vary by product. Check the Specifications sheet for your product for more information.

If you use card stock up to a maximum of 110lb then there should be no special mode to enter to print on this type of paper. Photo paper weighs in at 145 lb maximum which is heavier and can be printed on without selecting any special 'mode.'

Good luck on printing on heavy card stock.

What is the meaning of cdma? is it normal sim card

In cellular service there are two main competing network technologies: Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA). Cellular carriers including Sprint PCS, Cingular Wireless, Verizon and T-Mobile use one or the other. Understanding the difference between GSM and CDMA will allow you to choose a carrier that uses the preferable network technology for your needs.

I want a print on card thickness paper , will a hp-5600 series print ?

Theoretically yes, but it's too close to limit. Try, but you have a 50% chances of paper blockage inside the unit.

I have a F2100 three in one printer. What thickness paper is the best to use for making business cards. I have used 200 gsm and I think it is too thick. I also want to use my 1310 series printer for the...

I just use glossy cards from Avery. seems to do the best for me. not sure the thickness. I personally like thicker just cause I know cards get put in places they should then they have a better chance of survival in their life span haha.

Paper; gsm

I'm not sure how this'll translate to your paper weight, but the printer is engineered to use 18-24 pound paper. You can safely run heavier paper through it using the MP tray and opening the rear face-up exit tray so the paper feeds straight through front-to-back with no U-turns. I personally don't recommend running anything heavier than a 65 pound paper, which is about as heavy as the cardboard they use when they package dress shirts. Let me know if that helps!
