I encountered the same problem after i updated acer camera derivers from acer website.I found a program called acerorbicam.exe in the startup and disabled it.Things were fine after next restart.In taskmanager kill that process and your camera should work fine till you do a restart.
did you try to goto the acer update site this has webcam updates and new drivers i was there a few days ago and found new drivers for the cam you might want to try this if does not work let me know
