    I'm getting this too, but the worst thing about it is that this is another persons Xbox 360 Elite, and we are supposed to fix them. Anyone got any suggestions at all? By researching around I've found out that it probably isn't a firmware problem, and some think it is a eeprom problem.

Console won't read disk. when disk in console, message comes up unable to read disk

If you are getting that message then there is likely 2 reasons.
1: is because your disk is scratched up or something.
2: your disk reader that is inside of your Wii Console is out of place.

Playstation 3 (PS3) Console: trying to update software and keep getting the 800...

You will need an extra 2.5" HDD. use a laptop HDD.
So we all know with this error, it won't allow you to enter in the recovery menu because it would try to re-install the bad 2.8 update firmware again and again once it turned on.
1. So what I did was I swapped the laptop HDD into the PS3, it won't be able to read the HDD but it will allow you to enter the recovery menu now.
(for those who do not know how to get into the recovery menu, here is the instruction http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?message
.uid=39144801
)
2. Once I'm in the recovery menu, I took out the laptop HDD and put back in the PS3 HDD.
3. I also downloaded the 3.01 firmware from the PS website and uploaded into my USB drive and put that in the PS3 slot.
4. At this point, you want to select "system update" and update to the 3.01 version.

For some reason, the first time doing this the system froze at 67% with a new error (but i didn't write down the code). So I had repeat step 1 and 2, but this time when I put back in the PS3 HDD I chose "restore file system" without having to do the system update again. Then it gave me another error at around 65% that said the disk is corrupted and tell me to press OK to format the disk. After it formatted, it automatically install the 3.01 version and the system is fixed.

i would suggest don't put the disc in then clear cache by going to system settings, memory, press y not x and and it should say clear cache click it it all it does is wipe everything but u keep downloads and your achievments and your profile but you lose your updates but they automatically go back on when you insert the game and it might fix your problem

I ran out of memory on my Xbox 360 ARCADE console (256mb) and i had an update to do and it keeps coming with an error saying "Memory Unit not detected. Please reinsert it." and i bought a 60gb hard drive...

This is due to the infamous over heating issue. go on E-bay and search for Red Light of Doom. There a lot of people who do fixes for this and I had mine fixed for $25 plus shipping. Once its fixed it stays fixed.

Blue light stays on when console is off

This is common for the Wii. This means that the Wii is connecting to the Internet, and receiving news, weather, and other updates to keep you updated. THIS IS NORMAL!!!!! It usually stays on and sometimes turns on and off multiple times, in a milli second. Sort of like when its flashing. NORMAL TOO PEOPLE!!

Disk slot blinks blue light on and off, even when not in use

this means you have an email/ message waiting for you. turn on your wii... when it comes to the home page look at the bottom right there should be a picture of a envelope and a number. click on that and take care of the messages. most of the time this only happens when you are connected to wifi and have updates waiting.

Error message: hard drive corruption

is your ps3 still under its warranty, if it wont sort it when you hit ok, then it sounds like a ****for the pro's. Phone them up(you can get there number from their website) explain the problems your having and they will either send you a replacement or offer to fix yours. Unfortunately i think you have lost all your game saves, unless they offer to repair it, then maybe it'll be still there when you get it back. Hope this helps.
