you may have just damaged your phone.never restart your phone when experiencing such problems.your phone may only just need to cool down due to excessive use. you should have removed the battery and let it rest for a couple of minutes.next, put the batt on and turn your phone on.. bring your phone now to a phone repair shop..you might have a software problem..
Did you turn the phone off before removing the battery? I sure hope so. If not, you may have to junk it. My father has done that to several phones now. He pops the battery out to put the charged on in, but forgot to turn the phone off. I just recently bought him a phone that sets itself to power off when the battery cover is popped off.
