If you unplug the unit for 1 hour or so
it should revert to standerd NTSC. video
setting , if its doesn't then you need to
pull the video plug out till until you see
a doubel distorted picture then select setings
then Video options Then NTSC, that should
restore the picture or use the S video plug
to get a picture and then try seting set up.

if you need more tips
feel free to email me.

To use a european console in other regions that have SECAM or NTSC, you need your playstation to be modded.

Ok are you sure it is set to the TV's & PS/2's Video Format, it is either PAL, or NTSC? Check that. ON BOTH TV & PS/2 and it must be same on both. Or AUTO. just a thought.

That's the Mother Board problem, you should take it to the Sony for servicing or qualified personnel.

Ps2 slim doesn't play color. i beg you.

I have only seen this when the PS2 slim has been modded. What I do when this happens is hook the PS2 slim to a HD TV. This clears up the color. The modchip seems to drain the video power low enough that the normal TV with composite connection cannot resolve the signal. The only way to repair this is to get a new motherboard that is not modchipped. IF it is not modded, you still need a new motherbaord. Buy a broken will not read discs PS2 slim with that is NTSC or PAL whichever you use. Exchange the motherboards. You also need to be sure the Broken PS2 slim will boot up, and possibly read CD's but not Games.

Can't display Pal on My Sony 57" KP-57WS520

There are probably a few problems here. What are you using to play the disc? Some NTSC players will "play" a PAL disc but interpret it as NTSC with the symptom you are describing. You need a DVD player that will play PAL. Many of those will output NTSC directly when set up to do so. The other alternative is to have a PAL compatible player that will output PAL into the converter. To narrow this down specifically, please post the model numbers and the connection scheme for your equipment. Once I understand your current setup, I should be able to describe a method to get this to work for you.

There should be a way to switch the your T.V. from NTSC to PAL. It should be easy. Yes you can play music on the ps2, if it's on a compatible dvd or cd.
