Have you tested the monitor to see if it is working? Is the vga cable good? Are you getting the BIOS start-up display screens when computer is booting up or no display at all? It is odd that both the on board video and video card would be bad I would double check the cable connection and the monitor. If the cable is good and the monitor is working properly than the board might be bad. You should at least get the BIOS start-up screen display.

How do you know the motherboard is working fine?

Please connect your system to another monitor and check if its working fine or not.

Problems can be in Data cable, Monitor also.

First boot the computer without connecting Graphic Card, then go to BIOS and find for VGA option change the option to compatible mood, save the setting and come out of it. now off the computer re connect your graphic card and start the computer.

Which graphics card would be supported by P5P800-MX motherboard?

Too bad your ASUS P5P800-MX specs. does not have any Graphic Card Slots ie AGP or PCIEX. slot.

Your Graphic Cards options are rather limited, you only use the PCI Graphic card type.

Hope it helps.

Can asus p5gc mx mother board have two indipendent monitors one on male and other on female vga poart available on the board

you can only run one monitor on this motherboard.
if you would like to run additional monitors you will need to purchase a graphics card like nvidia or amd.
also the male port you see on your motherboard is not a vga port.
it is a serial port.

No display on monitor & if ram open and restart on then no sound on buzzer.

*Please Read full post before trying Also download the Online manual for this motherboard it takes only a minute and probably will answer a lot of questions you might have regarding *********** Board.*

Um... i am assuming your able to still see the display on the monitor if you plug your monitor into the on board video card. I am also assuming that the problem your talking about accursed when you plug in a video card into *********** board and then plug your monitor into that video card. I am also assuming your graphics card that you want to plug into *********** board is a AGP slot card.

If both of these conditions apply to you then try this.

Start your computer with your on board graphics card and unplug any other graphics card form *********** board.
Next go into your bios, and follow these instructions:

Go to "Advanced", "Chipset", And then "AGP configuration".

Next change your "Select AGP 3.0 Data Ratio" to "4X".

Next change your "Graphics Adapter Priority" to "AGP/Int-VGA"
*make sure its set to" AGP/Int-VGA" or your display will not work and you will need to reset your bios via the mother boards jumper cables.*

After that hit esc and go to "Exit" select "Exit

I want to use a better vga but it isnt any port

Without a VGA port, you can't use a VGA card, pretty simple stuff.

If you want to add a video card, you will need to get a PCI video card (NOT PCI-E!) There are a number of them out there, and pretty much anything made in the last 3 to 4 years will be better than the on-board video...

Pci express will not work

Your N9600GT provides two HDMI out puts for dual display.
Even though you are currently only using one HDMI. Switch your monitor cable to the other HDMI out put. See if you now have display.
Also while in the bios allow, Page 2-27 in manual, Allocate IRQ to PCI set to [Yes]. Page 2-24, Internal Graphics Mode Select, [Disable]

Luck!

What memory stick and graphic cards to get

Your motherboard has 3 PCI slots. Any card you install can only be a regular PCI card.

The RAM in your motherboard has to be DDR (333 or 400) 184 pin DIMM's.

Here is a link for your motherboard manual:

Layout pic is on page 1-7. Info on your memory is on page 1-15.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Turns on but thats all

Hi,
It appears that your problems, Are the initial setting up of your Motherboard. If you Have The Boards Installation CD.
I,d suggest using it. Set-up the computer with bare minimum devices. 1 x hard-drive. 1 x CD Rom. 1 x Monitor.
If you are getting no Display, it,s possible That Your Motherboards graphics chip drivers are not installed.
If you do not have the driver CD, go to the ASUS site, and download all drivers for this Board.
Settings for the SATA Or IDE configuration, are within the Systems Bios Settings.
Finally, ensure that all the settings are correct for your configuration requirements.
