Kennwood head unit stuck on solid protect.

I have a Kennwood MP-438U, it is stuck on solid protect mode. I have disconnected all the speakers, rewired them, etc. Is there a way to reset it with out sending it back? Since i have none of the receipts so im trying to find a solution with out having to purchase another head unit. I have used the reset button and it still goes straight back to protect. The only wires connected now are ground, constant hot and ignition and its sitting on a bench test.
