Question about Kodak EasyShare Z760 Digital Camera
I have purple and pink verticle streaks in my pictures. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE CAMERA , CCD OR CHECK THE CCD CONTETS

I had the same problem with my Z760. Somehow, there is being extra pressure applied on the lcd display and/or the ribbons. To fix it, start by removing the battery, placing the camera face down so the lcd screen is facing you and take out all the screws. (the two for the top are silver, the rest are black.) Remove the back casing by pulling directly toward you only far enough to slip over the USB port. It will catch on it, you'll need to pry it over the port with a small screwdriver or something. Then take off the casing like you're opening the tailgate on a pickup truck being careful not to detach the white ribbon to the selector dial, and lay it down. Now, you can see the sceen, it's frame, and connecting ribbons. From here, you'll have to find where the pressure is.On mine, the problem was to the right of the lcd screen near the top. There is a screw holding in the frame to the board. I loosened it 1/4 turn and my display worked perfect! You may also want to put the battery back, and turn it on while it's still open and check where the ribbons meet the screen or see if they get pinched in the frame or outer casing. Feeling around the ribbon and frame will let you see the display correct itself when you press/pull the right spot. Overall, it was real simple fix for me. Camera has been busted for a few years. Found it just today and fixed in 10 min. I'm glad I still kept it. Good luck!

It is also possible you simply have a dirty lens; which can also cause this - clean the lens as directed by the manufacturer - it could be a acrylic or a glass lens - what you clean it with, is dependant on which type lens material it is..
