Question about Mitac Mio 168 Pocket PC
Hi, I hope someone can help me. I would like to use the mp3 player on my mio 168 to play music in my car as the car only has a cassette tape player and no cd player. I already have one of those gadgets that go into the cassette tape player and connect to a cd player or another device. The problem is that the 3.5 mm audio jack is the commonly available one and the mio has a 2.5 mm jack. I have tried 3 different adapters (2.5 to 3.5) and I have confirmed they are stereo. The problem is that with the adapter I only get sound through either the left or right speakers....never both sides...in the car. I tried connecting a set of headphones and the same happens....sound in one ear only. The original mio earphones work correctly so there is nothing wrong with the socket on the mio. Do you know if the mio 168 audio socket is wired differently to common sockets....this was suggested by my local electronics store. Is there a special adapter available? It would be great to get to the bottom of this. Thanks for any help in advance.
I believe there is something wrong, its a normal stereo socket.
I use differend 3.5 to 2.5 adapter (standard, from the shelf)without any problem to connect an FM Stereo-Transmitter.
The best solution to connect your car radio, its wireless.
