Water is puddeling under the left side and front of the fridge. its dry and dusty underneath. water line for ice maker has been disconnected for years. cant figure where the water is coming from

You have a side by side or a undermounted freezer? I am having the same problem with mine. Take a look into the bottom of the freezer, there is probably ice building up on the bottom of it under the bottom self or basket. It seems if the refrigerator door is opened frequently and it is moderately or very humid in your home the water vapour condences inside the freezer. There is probably a condensation tray somewhere that is overflowing into the freezer compartment. Once the ice build up on the bottom gets to a certain point the water then starts to run out the front of the fridge onto the floor. Remove the ice from the bottom of the fridge and empty the condensation tray. You may have to continually do this during humid periods. For me that is about 6 months of the year every 3 to 4 days. It's a pain but what are you going to do.

Water pools and freezes at bottom of the freezer. When tray is full water leaks out of freezer onto kitchen floor.

I am uncertain as to what you mean by "when tray is full"? However, you probably have a clogged drain in the freezer compartment. During the defrost cycle, which usually occurs every eight hours, defrost components (defrost thermostat & heater(s) ) melt the ice that has accumulated on the evaporator coil in the freezer compartment. The water from the melted ice drains through a hole in the freezer compartment (behind the freezer's rear panel) and accumulates in a drain pan below the refrigerator. This water should evaporate over time, whereby you should not have to regularly empty the drain pan. If the drain hole is clogged (usually from algae or other debris, etc.), the water finds another path to flow (which is inside the bottom of your freezer compartment). This water will usually freeze. Water will then flow toward the front of your freezer compartment and out of the door on to the floor when you open the door.

Contact an appliance service company to unclog your freezer drain. Also have them check your defrost components (thermostat & heater(s)).

Water is leaking out the bottom of my brand new Jenn Air French door model JFC 2089 HE. Why?

likely a lot of condensate has been collecting in the catch tray, and it hasn't been able to evaporate off. You may have to slide the fridge out, and empty the tray by hand.

Water is leaking from top part of freezer down to bottom of inside of the frig. Frost is on the top of the frig in the frigerator.

FIRST STEP: UNPLUG THE REFRIGERATOR. AFTER IT'S UNPLUGGED, DO THE FOLLOWING:

Remove the food from the freezer compartment and place inside the refrigerator temporarily.

Remove the bottom panel and back panel from inside the freezer compartment. You will probably notice that the bottom of the inside of the freezer is covered in ice. Use hot water (not boiling) from the tap and pour it on to the ice that is formed on the inside of the freezer compartment to melt the ice.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN TO MELT THE ICE AS IT WILL MELT THE INSIDE OF THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT. ALSO DO NOT CHOP AT THE ICE WITH A SHARP INSTRUMENT OF ANY KIND AS THIS WILL PUNCTURE AND DESTROY THE INSIDE OF THE FREEZER.

If you have a wet vac, you can remove the melted water using the wet vac. Or you can use a towel to mop up the excess water. You will still have to pour hot water onto the ice until all of the ice in the freezer is melted. Patience is key as it takes time to defrost all of this ice.

You will see a drain hole in the back of the freezer compartment that is still clogged with ice. You will need to continue to apply hot water until the ice has completely melted.

Note: When the ice in the drain breaks free, you will see all of the water disappear as it empties out.
In Whirlpool refrigerators, the water runs to a tray underneath the refrigerator. You will hear the water empty out into that tray. Then you will know that you have completely cleared the ice from the drain pipe in the freezer. To double-check this, take a small cup of warm water and dump it into the drain hole and you will see it visibly disappear and run into that tray underneath the refrigerator.

Replace the freezer panels back into the freezer compartment and plug it back in and return your freezer items back in to the freezer and you should be all set.

Ice tray dont empty and water keeps running out

Something caught inside the water valve (replace water valve ) such as dirt , sand . Or , the icemaker died in the fill position . Disconnect the icemaker plug inside the freezer , and see if water still runs from the icemaker fill tube . Also make sure the icemaker fill cup on the icemaker , is not clogged with ice .

Ice maker flooded top freezer compartment

It may be just the water control valve on back of refrigerator. Put tap water in ice maker and lower lever for on. After ice is made, does it drop to tray? At this time when empty is the time the control valve is asked for water. The problem could be in valve on back or the inside ice maker itself. If you can try a few test with me I will help you locate the problem. Let me know what you find as I go through this with you. Sea Breeze

JCD2389DES Water Leak Problem

We also had this problem with a Jenn Air side by side. I cleaned out the drain tube and melted the ice in the collector tray but we still had water coming out of the freezer door later on. My wife started looking for a new fridge because she was tired of cleaning up the pudles daily. I went online to another site and found this to be a common problem. It seems the defrost cycle is not long enough to let all the water drain out of the collector tray and it ends up frozen in place and the the tube gets blocked and the the water runs down the inside back of the freezer untill it fills the the bottom of the freezer. Then it freezes and the the next time the water flows out the front of the door on to the floor. There are kits available to solve this problem and they cost about $20. I looked at what was in the kit and made my own part. It is a 9 or 10" long piece of # 12 or #14 copper wire (house wiring ground wire).
Turn off fridge and take the shelves out of freezer and then take off the large grill on the back wall and melt the ice in the bottom area where the metal water collector tray is. Look under the fidge where the evaporator tray is and make sure water is in fact running down the tube. To make sure it is, empty out the evap tray and put it back in and pour water into the defrost collector tray to see if the water flows down to the evap tray. If it doesn't then blow it out. If it does then take the copper wire and shove all but 2" of it down the tube that drains the collector tray. The last 2" or 3" of wire needs to be bent 90 degrees so that it lays flat in the tray. It seems the cooper wire that is down inside the tube conducts enough warmth from outside the freezer to keep the tray from freezing up to soon after the defrost cycle and lets all the water drain out down to the evaporating tray which is under the fridge. We never had water in the evaporating tray before because it was never making it down the tube. It has been many months now since my fix with no water on the floor.

I have a trio 7755 and had this problem within 6 months of ownership. It was the valves that fill the ice trays not completely closing when tray is filled (continued to drip--building up an ice block on the back wall and in the ice tray. I replaced the set of valves in the lower right (when looking at the back of the fridge). Problem solved, has worked perfectly since.

Water leaking onto floor

unplug it again , sounds like your drain line has frozen, instaead of defrost water going down the tube and under refrig in drain pan, becuse tube is frozen its draining into freezer compartment and eventually spilling out through front of unit. totally defrost unit and behind back wall of freezer youll see a metal trough designed to catch water, in the center (under the ice is gonna be the drain hole, pour boiling water down until it runs freely
