You should find a small hex bolt or screw thread on the right hand side at the bottom of the head. Photographs would be helpful

Corregated padding on focal screw is gone making focusing difficult

Think about gluing (epoxy) a wooden dowel piece over the screw. Drill a hole about the same size of the screw and dab with epoxy in the hole, slip over the screw, let set for 24 hours. and try out.

I have a swift astronomical telescope model no. 859 (no D). I need an owners manual and information on how to order parts. Mark J. Lanza

This is a 6 inch Dobsonian mounted reflector. They are VERY simple to assemble-- only two parts-- the base and the tube. The small finder scope goes on top. The eyepiece goes into the focuser. That's it.

No manuals exist for that brand but all of them assemble and are used in the same fashion. Here is a manual for an Orion brand Dobsonian just like your scope.

We have no instructions for a left eye dominant person to set the telescope

There are NO special instructions based on which eye is dominant. The scope is setup exactly the same way.

Either close the NON dominant eye or put you hand over the non dominant eye, and then look through the scope.

Looking for objectives for Swift scope #622453

Swift microscopes use standard objectives. You can get those from basically any source that sells them like VWR, Fishersci, Wardsci, Carolina biological, etc.

What is the age of a model no821 Swift spotting telescope ?

With Swift Binoculars the serial number contains the year of manufacture eg No. 1-662 Blah blah. The first two digits after the dash being 66 indicate the year as 1966. If it doesn't have a dash such as the late model Audubon then it is the first two digits of the serial number. eg.. 0745 blah blah would indicate 2007. Try this with your scope.
