I hit the reset buttom to default how do you setup auto channel ... i have no channel its not listed in the set up menu you have to do a complete initial setup .
Jun 17, 2010 - If you have figured out how to set up your cable box or antenna to yourOlevia TV, then the hard part is done and you just need to find an ...
1st unplug your TV.After 5 minutes turn it on and see if it prompts you to set up the TV with a setup wizard of some sort. This will probably include an auto scan of channels. If that doesn't work explore all options in the menu to see if there is a reset of some sort. And if all else fails, read the users manual.
Some setting or other appears to bave become mixed up. As with tvs malfunctioning with hardware faults please reset to factory
default and setup from scratch. This may remedy the issue.
Then , if the fault persists, try searching for the latest firmware for your set, this might do the trick
I have the same problem. Cable went out, hooked up an antenna and it scanned ok. Hooked up a diff amplified ant, worked the same. So watched videos. Next morning tuner would no longer scan or add channels. Now it will not even factory reset. Get to Auto Scan and it goes no further, cable or air.
You'll need to reprogram the channels.
Typically this is found under the settings in some sort of auto program section of the menu.
On most newer televisions, the setting is found under a 'Channel' section.
Just select auto program and your source, whether it be an antenna or a cable source.
When the auto program is completed, you'll have your channels back.
Try
to reset the LCD to factory defaults by pressing menu > set up and scroll
down to restore all. Have the satellite cable on before you try to run the auto
channel scan.
With remote, hit MENU, (use up/down arrows) & scroll to SETUP. Hit ENTER & scroll to TV. Hit ENTER & scroll to AUTO CHANNEL SEARCH. Hit ENTER & scroll to CABLE. Hit ENTER & scroll to AUTO. Hit ENTER, wait as it scans (about 5 min). Your done.
Small print in the manual says to hold down the 100/P.Scan button on the remote to toggle between progressive and interlaced. This was after I blindly tried to follow the setup screens in the manual and found that the manual doesn't match the exact screens (must be a firmware difference?) in the manual.
Also found that the factory default instructions in the manual do not include a yes/no confirmation screen.
