Where is the 8-Digit PIN from the router label on a D-Link DSL-2740B? I've looked all over the device, and through the papers in the box, but nothing?

This 8-digit number is displayed on a label attached to the bottom of the router, but might also be determined using simple brute-force.

I had the exact problem.
First login to 192.168.1.1. If you can't you will have to reset factory settings.
(username/password: admin, admin). Then, go to the top of the screen to ADVANCED. Now, on the far left of the screen you will see a grey list. Go to Wi-Fi Protected Setup.

Hi, I got a tp-link 8901g, but no pin code exists behind the router. Only there is a P/N on its pocket with 10 digits, while I need a 8-digit pin for configure my wireless network. What should I...

If you are configuring your wireless network for the first time there should be no pin required, if there is it should be listed in the manual of the device. If you received this router second hand then you will most likely need to perform a factory reset on it to remove any passwords the previous owner may have set. The default login to the router to access all of the router configuration is user: admin password: admin. To factory reset the router you need to hold the reset button with a pin/paper clip while powering the device on and continue holding it for 15 seconds after powering it back on. This should wipe out all configuration and let you back to stock parameters where you can access the router at 192.168.1.1 and use admin/admin to access and reconfigure your wireless settings from scratch.

Internet light on modem is solid red

How about the DSL light?
If its solid green then your problem could be a mistyped ISP username/password in the router, or your subscription expired.

Dsl-2740b router connections freezes

The final solution is a factory reset of your router. You can do a factory reset by logging into the router using you browser. Go to the settings and perform a factory reset

If you forgot the router password, you ill have to do a factory reset by locating a small hold on the back of the router and insert the tip of of paper clip for about 10 seconds while the power is on. The router will be reset to out of box status and then you can set-up form scratch.

Setup of d link dsl-2740b on my computer

the dsl connection is your broadband signal. check the router box. if the dsl light is off or flashing on the front, the setup will not work. this light needs to be solid. remove all devices from telephone sockets in your house, connect just one filter and your new router to it. check the dsl signal, if the light is solid green. the problem is with the physical setup in your house. If the dsl light still flashes contact your isp or broadband supplier.

Driver

not sure why you will need USB drivers for your adsl2+ modem/ wireless router and 4 port LAN switch. It would help you had provided the model number.

The device uses a LAN ethernet port to connect to the computer. You will need atleast one computer to be on the LAN port for setting it up. Once setup is complete you can use wireless connection for every computer.

The user manual & drivers or the DSL-2740B which appears similar to your product description
http://www.dlink.com.au/tech/Download/download.aspx?product=DSL-2740B

Not sure if you need these. Your computers will need LAN or wireless drivers to connect to this DLINK modem/ router.

Good luck
