If you can get into the menu and find "reset" you could return the camera to factory settings.

My memorex combo dvd & vhs player is not working right. can you help me? the vhs player works fine, but the dvd player display's a split screen on the tv with a large yellow box with the word PSCAN....

PSCAN is a short form for Progressive Scan - a line scanning format used for High Definition TV. Standard TVs use Interlaced scanning. On your DVD/VHS player, the VHS is an analogue signal recorded in interlaced mode so is fine for a standard TV. The DVD is a digital signal and cazn be processed for progressive scan output in order to produce a better picture on a High definition TV (or a TV capable of handling progressive scan). If you cannot to your TV via the HD outputs then you should be able to set the DVD player to output interlaced instead of progressive scan.

I am stuck in the Progressive Scan Mode on my DVD player & cant get it out of the blue screen. I have tried reseting it & even unplugging the player.

If your TV does not support progressive scan, you won't be able to get out of the blue screen. The only way to solve this issue is to connect the unit to a multistandard TV which has this capability, then in the player's on screen menu, look for anything that would allow you to select either progressive or interlace as its video output (or has progressive on and off feature) - and switch progressive 'off'. This should revert the output back to interlace. Then unplug the combo, reconnect it to your original set, and it should work fine after that.

Not impossible to correct, but a real pain if progressive is selected in a DVD player's output and the TV does not have that feature. Some DVD players have progressive output as a default option in their setup. Reverting it to interlace or turning it off so it matches the TV it is connected to should solve this problem.

I have tried to connect my SD 6100 and am getting no picture. I get sound.

You must use the remote to toggle the player OUT of HDMI output mode to use the non-HDMI outputs (like standard RCA-jack VGA or s-video or component video output). The device displays black screen by default unless you're using HDMI, so it's not possible to see the menu if using s-video. The manual states to press the 'Progressive' button to change modes. Unfortunately, you can't see what mode you're toggling through until you hit the right one (Toshiba blew it here!!). Power on the device WITHOUT a disk in (you can't change modes during DVD playback mode). There are four output modes, so press the 'Progressive' button on the remote and wait for 3 to 5 seconds for the player to switch output modes. Repeat this up to four times to cycle through the available modes. During one of the modes, you should see output to your screen through the cable hookup you've physically attached. You will also notice the led's on the front panel go on and off during the process at times. If you ARE using HDMI, then you have to select a mode your TV or monitor can handle. When in HDMI mode, you'll notice the front panel HDMI led's will light up. There are five modes here - 480P, 720P, 1080i, 1080P and AUTO (when all four leds are lit). Select the HDMI mode that your TV works with. Good luck ~ and don't bother calling Toshiba support ... friggin waste of time talking to a recording that's dumber than Sh#@!!

Panasonic DMR-HS2 RF out is not outputting signal CH3 CH4 off

The most likely cause of this is the unit being in progressive scan mode. In progressive mode, the composite output is disabled. If you can, connect the DVD using the component output connections. If your TV does not have component input, connect the green connector to the yellow on the TV. If the unit is in porgressive scan, you will see a garbled picture on the screen. The only way to fix this is to turn off progressive scan. The manual will tell you how to do this.

Split Screen

Go into SETUP
GENERAL SETUP PAGE
Go to VIDEO OUTPUT (can't see through error message, but it is the second one down - If you are on the right one, you will see S-Video, YUV Interlace and YUV Progress. as choices)
Change setting from YUV Progress to YUV Interlace

Mine was set on YUV Progress. and when I changed it, the problem disappeared.

Koss Ks4102 video problem

You have chosen the progressive scan option. In this option you will not get a composite video out to your TV using a single cable. you need to switch off this option by connecting the DVD player using three single cables namely Rr, Yy, Bb. this is possible only if you have this input option on your Tv. once you do this you will be able to see the display correctly and do the changes of switching off the progressive option. refer to the manual it is explained

No color when switching to component cable

To Change DVD Player Video Output to Progressive Scan: With your DVD Player turned on, and your TV turned on, press and hold the PREV/VIDEO button for at least 3 seconds (this puts you into Video Output mode). Press the PREV/VIDEO button to access different video output options. Each time you press
PREV/VIDEO, the type of video being displayed appears next to the Display menu. Look for PSCAN on your DVD player display panel. At this time, your progressive scan on TV should be working.
