How do I change video input from cable/ant to video 1 or video 2 on my Symphonicwf27f4 27in Flat panel TV so i can watch my rca home theater system dvd player?

You should have a remote control to select its inputs. It can be original or a universal remote control. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites Check this site too.
Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some online sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

Tv does not respond to any input only shows nosignal to any device

Did the TV's source get changed? If you use the Television remote and find the source or input button which switches between the video sources for your TV such as HDMI, A/V, Television Tuner,, VGA connector or Component video. If your using a cable box that remote only controls the cable box and possibly the TV power and volume but the cable box remote does not change the source input of the TV. Most Cable boxes rebroadcast their video on a specific TV channel and your TV must be set to that channel to receive the signal from the cable box. Let me know if this helps you out.

FOLLOW this instruction and fix it. God bless you
Connect the component video, HDMI1 or AV1 cable from the component device (such a DVD player) to the appropriate input port on the TV. This port may say "Video IN" on the back of the TV. Ensure that the cable is connected securely at both ends.
· 2
Use the remote control's device button(s) to access the menu and select the input through the menu that matches the type of cable input connected to the back of the TV. For example, if you connect the cable to the HDMI1 input port on the back of the TV, selecting anything but the HDMI1 option with the remote control may cause the "No Display" message to appear, which usually means that the TV is not receiving a signal at the connection input you have selected.

· 3 Turn the power on to the component you want to view. If the power was off, turning it on will activate the display and replace the "No Display" message.
· 4
Test any other connected components at their selected inputs to see that the TV is receiving the video signal properly from those sources.
· 5
Check with your cable or satellite provider if their set-top box is the source of the "No Display" message and is powered on, to see if the problem is caused by a disruption in their service. If using an antenna, adjust the antenna and re-scan for available channels.

Have no remote

In most cases, with a universal remote control, you can't select the TVs inputs. It will be best to buy an original remote control. Contact the authorized service centrer, or dealer. If you wish to get set-up codes list to some universal remote controls, check this link. Pull up older posts there, either by its left side bar, or, view it in 'Timeslide' option. It has set-up code list and proceedings to most popular brand remote controls. If you wish to buy one universal remote control, check to which remote control have set-up codes to your Brand TV. Buy that brand remote control, according to availability. But, input section function is not guaranteed.

I have a 47" Visio 1080p. Tv is always set at hdmi

AV inputs are for standard analog video which is 480i. HDMI and Component inputs are the high definition inputs that run at either 1080i or 1080p You won't ever get 1080i or p through AV inputs.

What is the direct tv remote code for a vizio bur ray player (model vbr120)

You should be able to access it from your TV Input button on the top left of the remote. It depends upon which set of connectors you connected it to. It may be video 1/2/3 or one of the components.
Do you have other accessories connected to the TV as well? A little experimentation and you will locate it in this little menu. Then you just click on it for access. Be sure to set the input back to satellite when you are finished using the player.

Tv works jsut no pic black and white screen says weak or no signel?

If it says "weak or no signal", this means your are not showing the correct input or have no channels programmed.

To find the the correct video input:
1. turn On the device you are trying to see
2. press the [input] button on the side of the TV until you get a picture (wait 3 seconds between pressing the button)

You program the TV by accessing it in the User Menu.

Also, You may access the inputs using the TV remote. Each input button (V4 and V5) may need to be pressed muliptle time to access the picture . When you press this on the remote you will notice the input change from Composite 1, Component 1, S-Video. V5 will show composite 2 and component 2. Using the side panel allows youto scan all inputs in case you are not sure.

How does one change the video inputs without the remote control?

If you have lost the remote, go to any electronics store and buy a universal one. I have programmed many generic remote controls, and they all work fine for adjusting the video inputs. Not all television sets allow their video inputs to be switched without the remote. Most likely you will have to buy a replacement.
