Clothes getting twisted around agitator

That does not sound good. New dogs sound great, but you must get to the bottom of why the clothes are becoming twisted on the agitator. Usually not enough WATER. Think loose flow of clothes submerged.
Long story short, you cannot jam pack this machine. Less clothes, more water, will equal long life.
Be sure that the mating teeth for the dogs, is not damaged. Slipping here would make loud noise.
More water, less clothes.

How to remove simpson agitator>

I am not familiar with a Simpson but the nut securing the agitator is
commonly accessed by removing the fabric softener receptacle
and then a plastic cover which sits directly over the nut. If the
agitator proves difficult to remove tap a block of wood against it
and rotate upward until it releases. I hope this works for you.

Dennis

Simpson encore 605

Yes its a top loader and cloths are distributed evenly at the moment. My problem is it will not agitate. Its like the brake is locked on. It spins fine but niether the drum or agitator move. the motor is trying but its cant over come the brake (i think). I have had the brake arm off but I am unsure if it needs alinging with the brake tang when putting it back together ?

Washing winds up around the agitator and it seems as though there is a direction of rotation problem?

I had this problem with my washing machine and spent time on YouTube researching. Your agitator is slipping in one direction and wrapping the clothes around it. With my machine, a Simpson, it produced a ratchet/clicking noise while slipping.

The advice on YouTube suggested it would be a difficult repair involving gear box etc, and technically challenging.

Note: The US washing machines are easy to dismantle compared to the Australian/New Zealand type. This could be intentional as we use 240 volts where the Americans use 110 volts. Our frequency (50 Hz) is also more dangerous than their 60 Hz.

This is not a helpful answer but I have electrical/electronic background and bought a new machine. My old machine was 10+ years old.

I have a SIMPSON ENCORE 555 heavy duty washing machine. It will do a normal wash cycle, but when it comes to the spin cycle, it doesn't distribute the washing around the drum and hence won't spin. any...

Hi just read your posting. Now does the washing tangle around the agitator? In your posting you mentioned the washing not distributing around the drum.Could you confirm that your machine is a top loader for me,because the word "drum and distribute" are terms for a front loader. If your machine is a top loader which I think it is then the problem could be your brake arm or spin coil is not operating. Please reply and let me know if the clothes are tangling around the agitator.Looking forward to your reply.

Simpson encore 806 washing machine beeping and screen showing DF

DF means the temperature sensor is faulty. Replace it. Get a new one from your Simpson agent. Turn power off. Open panel by removing the 3 screws at the rear of panel & swing it up. If you are standing behind the machine look on the left hand side at the top of the circuit board. You will see a small white plug with 3 wires (red-white-black) Very carefully pull this plug toward you off the 3 pin base. The other end is the sensor pushed into the water inlet chamber. Pull it out. Push new sensor into water chamber (make sure black rubber o-ring is on it) Push wiring plug back onto 3 pin base. It can only go on one way. Do not force it or twist it as the 3 pins can be easily broken or damaged. Then close panel & power up.
