The remote needs to be plugged in as well. it should be next to the power/ground terminals. put 12volts on it. lights should come on. if not amp is faulty.

i normally mount it under my seat run one lead straight to the positive (red) lead of battery with a 30 amp fuse using an inline fuse holder fully sealed.than the ground (black) using a ring connector to the chassis or seat mounting stud.must run positive under carpet and through fire wall using a grommet or other possible wire channels.

Simple on off sw with 2 leads to hook up to 12 v spotlight (in Boat 2 lead wires

Switch the ground on the switch to a fused hot wire from the battery and then from the switch to the spot light --ground the light. This will give you the spot light even if the power from the key switch is interrupted.

Most boat nav lights come from the aux or bat side of the key switch.

1990 Corvette,s fan comes on when the key is turned but car wont start. THANK YOU !

Do the lights come on (dash)? Is the battery up? Is it in park? Try moving the gear selector through the neutral range while holding the key in the start position. If it cranks, the neutral safety switch is out of adjustment or going bad. If the dash lights go out when you hit start, the battery termanals need cleaned (baking soda & hot water & a brush). If the dash lights never come on, do you even have a battery and is it hooked up (including the ground strap between engine and frame)? Ray (garage owner)

1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue security light on/power only sometimes

first thing you need to do is unhook any wiring installation you did. It sounds as if you have running your power straight to ground. Somewhere you made a wrong connection.

You have also discharged your battery as part of connecting your power lead to ground.

Disconnect what wires you hooked up for the light system and then recharge the battery. Bill

Amp not turning on

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

If neither is too low, the power supply in the amp is probably blown.

No power to my amp

I'll assume that you've checked the amplifier's on-board fuses.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. Jensen Amp and Sub

If you followed the instructions correctly, then the amp must be defective. This is sort of simple.

My generic suggestions:
You have the power, the ground, the outputs to the speakers, and then the input.

Make sure that none of the speaker wires are somehow being grounded. Make sure that nothing is shorted that feeds the speakers.

Amp

Sisnce you didn't mention the protection LED, I'll assume it's not on.

You need to measure the voltage across the B+ and ground terminals of the amplifier to confirm that the voltage at the terminals is least 11 volts. Also check the voltage on the remote turn-on terminal. Place the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and set the meter to DC volts.
