Question about Home
I see on this site several issues that are the same as mine which is the pump can only be shutoff with the circuit breaker. I have had the pool for over three years and this is the first time I have experianced the trouble. Does anyone have a solution for this issue?
It would appear that the contactor switch that feeds the pump is hanging up. Try tapping lightly on the contactor within the control panel. Tap it with a wooden hammer handle and see if it releases. Also make sure that the exciter wire is not staying live while the switch is moved to the off position. When you turn the breaker back on and the pump starts without the switch being pushed you definatly need a new contactor.
