It's the pressure switch. It's either faulty or just out of adjustment. Open it, or some have a handle to turn, and start turning it CW. This should bring the pressure setting up. Test run and do more if needed until desired 'off' PSI is obtained. (if there is a spring with a nut on the top in the pressure switch, tighten the nut CW to increase pressure)

My 60 gallon kolbalt was running and stop when it filled now it wont go o ever with the tank drain it spins free it does nothing no sounds either

When you say it does nothing do you mean the motor wont come on or the motor comes on and it wont build pressure? if the motor comes on, there are several possibilities:
1. The unloader valve is stuck open
2. The valves in the head are bad
3. The flywheel is loose
If the motor wont come on, the pressure switch is bad (which holds the unloader valve open)

Hello I have a 20 gallon kobalt model 033204. I just replase pressure switch but does same thing. When I tur on the compressor jus build 50 psi and shuts off.

This usually occurs when the motors internal thermal / amp breaker opens due to overload or weak breaker. Use an amp gauge to test for too much amp draw. If amp draw is normal, then problem could be the in-tank check valve leaking pressure back to the pump overloading the system, or weak capacitor or weak breaker. Bypass the breaker temporarily if the amp draw is normal to test system. Good luck

Air compressor slow to build pressure, and noisy.

All large air compressors are very noisy.

How long it takes to come up to pressure depends on the size of the compressor piston(s), how fast they are running and the size of the air tank attached to it. (and if the tank or hoses have leaks)
A 20 gallon tank could easily take 10 minutes to get all the way up to 120 psi. 120 is very high, and probably the limit for the compressor. Depending on what you're using it for, try dropping the setting to say 80-90psi.

Air from compressor is WAY TOO HOT! Model #cl0502710. Spray gun gets too hot to handle in 5-10 minutes.

First check the condition of your air filter. Clean or replace as necessary.

Second time how long it takes for the compressor to build from 0-125 psi. If you have the 15gallon tank and it takes more than 3 or 4 min to build up then you have valve problems. If you have the 27 gallon tank it shouldn't take more than 7 min to build up.

If your pump up times are ok then you need to look at the duty cycle. Compressors such as yours should not be on more than 50% of the time. So if you use the compressor for 2 hours of work it should not be pumping for more than 1 hour of the time.

If your pump is working more than 50% or pumping continuously then you need a bigger compressor for your tasks.

The only other factor to consider is the room temperature. If the room where the compressor is is too hot it only magnifies the problem.

Hope that helps

My SS5 won't make any pressure. I drained the tank to around 10 psi to drain moisture out of the tank and it built the pressue back up to around 120 psi but won't build any higher. The shut-off point is...

Sounds like the pressure regulator has gone bad. That controls how much PSI your system is aloud to have. If this fails it will not fill to max capacity. I would replace that and all will work just fine.

I have a model FP209501 Air Compressor 2 Gallon,

2 gallons is small to begin with u need to buy an in line pressure adjuster/regulator their a few bucks and can be attached to the paint gun or line and will keep the pressure at ur adjustment the regulator on the tank sets the tank pressure at 50 so when u us it will let it drop down to about 45 than start up to build the pressure up to 50 than shuts off than repeats it self the inline keeps pressure steady even if tanks are at 200 psi
