Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
I have an xbox 360 with a wired connection to a Linksys router that is connected to DSL (5Mb/768k) and I constantly get a message of "Connection Interrupted" when playing COD. The connection usually lasts for 2 to 5 minutes before dropping me. I have opened all the ports as directed on the xbox live support. The game plays fine before I get the message.
To me it sounds like you are having a DSL problem. If you are not up to calling your ISP for a trouble call, try playing at a friends house with your console and see if the problem happens there also. If it has no problems, then you know your console is not the culprit. You could also try connecting directly to your modem and bypassing the router for testing purposes. If a direct connect to modem works, then look at your router.
Linksys is PnP with Live. You should not have to open any ports. If you get to the point during troubleshooting that you know for sure it is your router, reset it to default settings.
