Question about Samsung LN-T4671F 46 in. LCD Television
Click on click off click on click off for 2-5 minutes. I Called samsung and they say they have never heard of this for a LNT4671F. Okay I am the first person in the whole world. I told them to have a look on the internet and open their eyes, they have a problem and are not addressing it! I have a possible solution for everybody to try. I talked to my friends brother in law who owns a tv repair shop. He told me to unplugg the tv overnight. I did and in the morning I tuned it on and the same thing happened. I turned it off and went to work. My wife calls me and tells me that the tv now has no picture. Now I am pissed and started looking in the best buy catalog at work. When I get home the tv is on but no picture, so I unplug it and plug it back in and guess what? The tv does not power cycle anymore, so far. Maybe unplugging it overnight clears something. Anyway worked for me sofar we will see good luck.
Hi my name is Eric,
I hope I can help you with your issue ,
The TV not starting properly you should hear the tone noise (bleep bleep) not a ticking noise or no sound .
These Samsung LCDs have problems with the power supply capacitors going bad, a servicer will charge between $200 and $450 to repair it replacing either the capacitors or the whole board.
here is a DIY (do it yourself) solution:
It could be just a few bad capacitors on the power supply, if you want to attempt the repair yourself you can do a visual of the power board caps will appear swollen on to.
We do not recommend do it yourself, but depending on your knowledge and technical ability you may be able to.
with the back removed you will usually see two circuit boards the upper one is the power supply, it has a few capacitors on it (cylindrical standing straight up soldered in mark on the sides with the positive/negative sides and MF and Volts values)
Samsung uses mostly 1000Mfd at 16Volts rating capacitors, they cost about $1 each (680mfd will also work fine)
usually I replace about four of them (or all the bulged on top ones) .
The power board and back unscrew with a medium philips screwdriver, if you do not know how to desolder and resolder then do not attempt this as you may damage the TV more than fix it.
Im am posting a photo of some swollen caps on a board so you know what they look like;
best of luck to you
Hope this helps, if it has solved your issue please click accept
But if you have more questions please respond and I will reply asap

I was having a similar issue with the 4671 among other problems with my entire living room setup. i went in yesterday and unplugged everything and started from scratch. took care of all the little issues i was having. it is my opinion that it was the power surge strip that was the issue. i moved the 4671 off of a protected outlet to a non protected one. i do not like the ideal of not having on a protected circuit, but i need to follow up on maybe replacing the strip. it was a higher end unit that i believe had a multiple year warranty. need to find the paper work for it.
