Must be a run on these I just finished answering this for someone else...lol anyway I copied and pasted it for you also

It is a Door lock issue, but not necessarily the door lock it's self, a quick temp fix (Believe it or not)is too take your fist and give it a whack on the top right rear corner not hard enough to dent it,just a jar,if that works you have a loose pin on the main control board under the top panel you can also remove the top panel and check all the connections going to the board. If no luck with the control then start looking at the locking mechanism. Here is a link to the service manual for the duet.

I would replace it. IF you unplug it and set it to clean it is a hazard if someone opens it. If the safety feature is working it should not self clean with the motor unplugged anyway.

The DL error just came on. Is there something specific we need to do to fix this? It has been working fine, but then all the sudden the error started. Upon initial machine start, it works fine, but then if...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Presumably it is still under guarantee/warantee? You should contact the washer's service department before doing anything else as 'DL' does stand for Door Lock (error).
There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor needing an engineer's attention ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Kenmore smartwash error code dl and f? Won't start.

Hello and welcome to FixYa

DL f is a door lock error and is caused due to an issue with the door lock when it is unable to lock/unlock. Please check the door lock mechanism/door switch assembly and replace the part that has gone bad so that the problem is solved. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Whirlpool GHW9400 Door will not latch. Washer turns on, Starts clicking then flashes dL F

Hi, DL means Door Lock Failure while F is either (F80, 82,
84, 85).....

DL flashes if the following conditions occur:
  • Door lid is not closed completely due to interference.
  • Wash media buildup is preventing the lock bolt from extending.
  • Machine/motor control detects open door lid switch when attempting to lock.
  • Machine/motor control cannot determine if door lid is in a locked state.

Kenmore Oasis has error code dl

The dL error code is a door lock error. The control board will attempt 6 times to lock the door before displaying the F dL error code. This is an indication that either the door lock is malfunctioning or the control board is not responding to the door locking circuit. Be sure the door is securely closed before attempting to start the washer. Open the door & check for clothing or something that may be stuck in the door boot area. If the door is securely closed & you still have the error code I would recommend having the door lock assembly replaced.

Good Luck and Please rate

Cycle wont start then I get Error / dl

the dl code is a door lock error, open door and examine door lock assy mounted on front panel.look for a plastic push pin approx 5inches up from square lock assy.if that pin is missing, replace door lock.if pin is there, you could still have bad door lock or loose wire connected to door lock.
