Laptop compaq armada 1750

i put my laptop on and it came up a blank screen with compaq going threw the middle ov it and it wont do anythin eles

ApprenticeTake the power cord off the PC also Main battery take it out. Open the lid and near the ALT and CTRL you have two small springs, push them back and open up the keyboard. On right side there is CMOS battery connected to the mainboard, disconnect it. Put the power cord on, power on the PC and when prompted press F1. System starts. Wait till everything loads then shut it down properly, take the power cord off and connect the CMOS batt. to the mainboard. close the keyboard and that's it. The problem appears when the system shuts down not properly(battery empty).
