If you are talking about the seal that goes around the door, it simply inserts into a groove around the perimeter of the tub facing. Just follow these steps:

1. Remove old seal by pulling it from the groove around the perimeter of the tub facing and clean the area to ensure it is free of food debris and/or sopa deposits. This will ensure the new seal seats properly. Also clean the facing of the door interior where it meets the door seal.
2. Take the new tub seal and locate the center mark. This is usually a small paint spot or small groove. If there is no center mark on the seal, fold it in half and mark this spot with your fingers.
3. Insert the seal at the top center portion of the tub facing at the center mark of the seal.
4. Push seal into the groove and work your way around the tub facing all the way to the bottom along each side. You can remove the seal and readjust as necessary.

Once the seal is in place, close the door and compress. The door will shut tight for a while until the new seal breaks in.

If you have questions, or if this isn't the seal you are talking about, please post back and elaborate more on what you need assistance with. Please include your full model number so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance. I hope you find this information helpful.

Maytag washing machine leaking water

Hey, Maytags never need servicing!, or so the advertising used to say. However, a leak is really not a "machine" problem, it is a plumbing problem: If it is leaking from a door seal (all the way around the door including the bottom edge), replace or reglue the door seal. If it is filling up too high inside, it may cause excessive pressure on that seal. If, however, the leak is between the machine drain and the floor pipe, you will need to pull out the machine and inspect the seals...change as necessary...have fun!

I have a Maytag MDB9100AWB. During wash and rinse it leaks on the right side (as I am facing it). Cannot figure out where it is coming from. The seal on the tub seems(?) okay. Did not find a seal...

The symptoms you describe, STILL sounds like it could be caused by a worn door seal. Over time, these seals compress to the point where they no longer seal correctly, or food particles and grime get caught between the door and seal and leave small air gaps. I personally own a Maytag such as yours and experienced the same problem. It turned out to be a tub seal that was too compressed to seal properly.

The following link explains some of the common causes of dishwasher leaks and what you can do to prevent them:

If the model number is correct, the part number for a replacement gasket is 902894.

Replacement part (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites are reputable and have great service. Prices vary between them, so shop and compare. The first three sites I have listed include helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you in locating and properly identifying any parts you may need.

This is a very simple repair. If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please post back and let me know. hope this helps you.

NOTE: There is NO seal along the bottom on this model dishwasher. That is why proper loading is also important. Water can be diverted over the front edge of the tub basin and cause drips and leaks if loaded improperly.

Brand new dishwasher installed and water leaks out bottom of door

If your dishwasher leaks, check these:

Main tub seal
Door gasket or seal
Water-inlet valve
Hoses
Main tub seal Note…If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath thecenter bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probablyapply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn'tserviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly.

Themain tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water inthe dishwasher from leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get tothe seal, which is inside the dishwasher, remove the:

  • Lower rack

  • Spray arm

  • Spray arm support

  • Wash/drain impellers

Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal Overtime, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to sealproperly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them ifthey've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve Thewater-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply linefrom the house and the rubber tube leading from the valve to the insideof the dishwasher may leak. Tighten or repair/replace these asnecessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to thedishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses Behindthe lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastichoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If thatdoesn't work, replace the hose.

Leaking water

Try to touch the lower door seal, it sometimes jumps out of its place when you open the dishwasher door. You may consider replacing the seal with a new one, I have to push the seal on my dishwasher to its proper place before every cycle. It is quite annoying, but free :-)

Maytag quiet plus II - leaking water

Check under while the washer is filling and draining. You could have a loose clamp on a hose, the seal on the shaft may only leak while doing these. On the other hand, more times than not, rodents seem to enjoy chewing on washer catch basins.

it can be 3 problems. Most likely one is the seal from the acces apnel is leaking.
Or hinge of door is too lose or door seal.
My bet is on the seal for the acces panel.
HERE is drawing. However seal (#12E) is not drawn in.
You can also order the parts here and have them within about 3 days
