My Crosley CDE6500W has no power, not even the light inside the drum. I checked the power from the outlet and it is good. Were are the fuses or could it be something else?

The fuse is located here:

The main thing that cause these thermal fuses to melt is a loose blower wheel and air restrictions.

No heat

It could be the element or the high limit mounted above it. If it were the fuse then the dryer would not come on. Pop the top to get to the heater themobilian_1693.jpg

Where is the thermal fuse for a crosley cde6500w

The thermal fuse for this dryer is located on the right side of the heating element behind and near the top/left of the drum. You will see two white wires leading to it. The Thermostat is right above the heating element - two red wires lead to it.

I have a Crosley dryer and it wont get hot what should i do

If the dryer is not heating, first check the thermal fuse. It is about an inch long and is usually located just inside the rear of the dryer attached to the exhaust duct. Test it for continuity using a multimeter or ohmmeter. A lack of continuity indicates a blown fuse. The heating element can be tested in the same manner. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Crosley Electric dryer stopped in mid cycle and will not start

if the machine is completly dead an not doing anything locate your fuse panel ,check your fuses for the dryer ,if you can find wich one is it reset the breakers again you probably popped one of the 2 lines since you need 2 for a 220v.

good luck!

Dryer doesnt work

I am an authorized crosley repair man. The fuse mounts on the rear wall on the right hand side of the heater element. When it blows the problem is usually a ball of lint in the filter housing or a bad blower wheel.ba7d2fe.jpgThe kit comes with 2 fuses. One for gas and one for electric dryres. Use the fuse with the same color dot as your old one. DEAD DRYER

Dryer

Check the blower wheel and filter housing then replace the fuse which mounts on the heater chamber right next to the heatter, the same screw which holds down the heater holds the fuse to the side of the heater.

Heating element in Crosley Clothes dryer

Before you replace the heating element, check the thermal fuse. All heaters have safety thermal fuse. This opens in case the thermostat fails. This is normally attached on or near the heating element, looks like diode. (When replacing, do not solder ! this will damage the fuse)
