Memory card error

What type and size memory card? The SD630 works with SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.
If you are using an SD card, have you tried formatting it?

Canon SD630 any sd card i put in it over 2gp says memory error

The SD630 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB. Larger cards are actually SDHC cards and will not work in the SD630.

I am trying to retrieve photos to print online from my Canon SD630 Digital Elph but I get a message "communication error" on the bottom of the camera screen. I am able to retrieve and print photos from...

First, I'd give the connectors on the card a buff with a soft dry cloth.

When finished, check if the card has a write enable notch on the left hand side, make sure the notch is in the right position.

If the notch is broken, cover the gap with a little sticky tape, just like you used to with tape cassettes.

if that doesn't work

You could buy/borrow a universal card reader, and connect that to your PC. Works just like another hard drive.

If that doesn't work, try you card in another compatible camera, if it still fails, your card has a problem. The only thing left to try is re-formatting in the camera and that will clear all data from the card.

Is there a size limit for the memory card for the SD630. I put a 4 GB one in it, and it say memory card error

This camera only supports up to 2GIG or memory card so that's the reason why the 4 GIG wont work with it....

The memor card is getting corrupted, have you tried formatting it as this should fix the problem. Format this on the camer and not on the computer.

Camera will not power on with a memory card installed.

1. Try another memory card and contact the memory card manufacturer 2. The PowerShot SD630 requires repair service.

Problem with photos - Canon PowerShot SD630

It sounds to me you have a CCD issue, which is the part of the camera that captures and converts the image to be digitally saved to your memory card (very overly simplified for the sake of diagnostics).
If you can see your menus and everything else just fine on the camera, and the photos and live view are looking like that, then I would say you have a CCD issue. You might try to send the camera in to Canon for a repair, or if its under warrenty, even bettter!
