Convergence parts? What are the specific pico fuses and resistors

What are the specific pico fuses and resistors that need replacing when you do the convergence IC's? I replaced the IC's but the TV is still having the issue. Thanks!

Which board is the G board? What do the 5 amp picos look like?

What do the 5 amp pico's look like? when you refer to the powe rsupply board are you referring to the board that the 110V cord runs to?

Is there anything else that I should know about in regards to the pico fuses? is there a specific voltage or is it just the amp rating that I need to be concerned with? There is a big electronics wholesale supplier that I can go to this week and get them, I just want to be sure that I buy the right parts.

I read several post's. I apologize if it seems like I didn't read. I just found the exploded diagram again for the TV itself, which is helpful. I have already found the D board without issue. Mainly I'm trying to identify what the pico fuses look like. I was confused today while working on the TV set because there is a letter "G" on what the exploded diagram calls the "AD" board. So while I was looking at the AD board I didn't see any pico fuses obviously, but at that moment I thought it was the G board.
    I appreciate the help.

MOST of the sony's have several orange pico fuses around the chips AND many have two more 5 amp pico fuses on the main power supply board--look for the two fuses in the power supply section--I bet one is open

There are six 3.15 amp picos use 3.5 amp when replacing and there are two 5 amp picos on the G board the resistors if needed are 4.7 ohm 1/2watt

DID YOU READ THE OTHER PERSON'S POST HERE? IF YOU want i can send you some photos of the G board(power supply) and the D board where the convergence chips are located--etower.766@netzero.net You need to check the fuses just like any other fuse--usually one of the ones on the power board is bad,

If this helps you I expect a vote here from you.

What convergence chip do i need for my sony kp-53s76

Your model uses two of the STK392-150 ICs however there are also pico fuses and convergence resistors that will normally require replacement along with the ICs. You can get The Sony repair kit called
" KP48V80 - KP61V80 Convergence repair Kit " which works for the KP53S76 models too and it has the Two Ics with heat sink , the pico fuses and the 12 resistors. The kit is listed on the following page http://tvrepairworld.com/sony_repair_kits

Mitsubishi convergence issue

First is consider what the issue is: nothing moves convergence wise or only one color etc.

Also follow if needed the voltages from the pico fuses involved---one will be a negative voltage and the other a positive one--follow them from the diodes for each voltage to the chips---"Got Voltages?"

I replaced my convergence chips and I still have a convergence problem. Its not as bad but I still cant line up the blue convergence cross exactly

Sounds like your over half way there lol..
You now need to check the resistors positioned near the convergence ic's. They are your likely problem and go bad often when the ic's fail.

They are normally about 2watt and the values will vary but normally are like .10 ohms to 1 ohm.
I cant find a schematic to give you the exact values and locations but if these resistors measure off value at all you need to replace them with the exact value of the originals.

Heres a link to resistor color code guides just in case the value numbers are not printed on the resistors

Good Luck!!!

I have a similar problem as described as a convergence problem with my Sony KP-53HS30 TV. Can you elaborate further on the solution to repair. Which IC and protector fuses do I replace? Thank you.

Your model uses two STK392-560 Convergence ICs. also there are 6 pico fuses on the D board and two pico fuses on the G board which may need replacement also. The Sony type 1 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com contains the IC's pico fuses and a few resistors plus instructions on CD of how to do the repair.

Sony kp-51ws500 resistors and pico fuses on d board

I can help with the PICOFUSES...they are 4 amp Pico.

As for the resistors, if ANY are burned, look at the convergence amp next to the damaged ones...those resistors are a mirror-image of the damaged ones.

You NORMALLY do not need to replace the resistors, ONLY the picofuses.

The only items on your set that should need replacement would be both convergence IC IC801 and IC802 which are both STK392-570 and you will also need to change the two 5 Amp pico fuses which are F9A04 and F9A05 they are both % amp pico fuses. All parts are located on the center Board

Pico/ Resistors what are these??

Pico means small and these look like little small resistors, but don't have stripes like resistors, just part numbers. They should measure as a dead short and be in the immediate vicinity of the STK's

Blurry picture

the amps may have a couple of pico fuses per amp and resistors that may have open. the pico fuses are 3.5 amp and are colored green. check all the resistors in the convergence curcuit with a DVOM for an open cucuit.
