Re: problems with keeping the projector on!!

If it is blanking orange:1- if any objects are blocking the air inlet or outlet grille remove them.2- do not expose the air outlet to hot air emitted from heating appliance.3-check whether the filter is clogged with dirt-clean the filter if clogged.
if it is blanking green:-after status indicator stop blanking press power.if you unplug power cord while the fan is rotating the lamp may be not turn on for one minute next time you plug the cord.
press power button several times.

If you have recently replaced the bulb you may need to reset the lamp counter in the projector menu.
If you have not replaced the bulb, the projector may be shutting down due to over-heating. Check that the projector is clear of as much dust and debris as possible.

It sounds like it is overheating. Are the fans all working? If so, try opening the casing and blowing all the dust out with a can of air from Staples/Office Depot. If the fans aren't working you may need to replace them.

CP-S335 popping noise when powering on

Hi Eva

A Projector does'nt like being switched on and off all the time , if you are going to watch a couple of movies - rather leave the machine running all the time - this will also help you to get more hours out of your lamp - and that's a promise.

As far as the noise is concerned - it is most probably just the machine that was not cooled down properly at that stage.
