Question about Cameras
Canon Powershot G5.
I can turn the camera on but when on it will not take any photos and E24 shows in display wimdow. To turn camera off you have to push the button to image view and not the off switch? this seems very odd.
The display on the top of camera shows Ok sometimes, but nothing happens with it.
I guess probelm with camera is an electrical one and a new circuit will be required unless you have any ideas to solve it.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: Canon G5 Lens error message
Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.

SOURCE: No image, No picture
I had already got the CCD changed for my camera free of cost. This was done 1 year back. The problem with LCD not able to display any image has popped up recently.
Also as the camera is able to take the picture rightly it is not the CCD problem but something else related to LCD display mechanism.
Not sure why it is not able display the images.
Anyways thanks for the above suggest solutions.

The machine changed the file format into a form that the camera can not read. This may have been caused by taking the memory card out of the machine to soon. It should be visible on a computer however.
