Ill start by linking you to websites where you might be able to find your maunal to your tv for free.

Let me clarify what your seeing. If the tv is on the antena 1, or aux, then you see a picture and get sound ect, and its clear.. If you switch to the cable channel or any other channel you don't get any picture at all.

If the tv is from the cable that runs from the wall and is screwed right into the back of your tv, then your only going to get channels from the tv antenna channel. and it working correctly.

The video 1-3 is for the input jacks either on the front or the back of yout tv. They are normaly the yellow, white, and red input plugs you see.

Im not sure what your saying about the cable.. Is tht a channel or you talking about turning on the cable box?

If your talking about turning on the cable box, try this, Run the cable from the wall, right into the back of the cable box into the input... Then from the output of the cable box, run that into the input of your tv. You can either use the codex cable, or the RCA wires (the yellow, red, white) ones. Depending on what you use the input channel, (video 1-3) or the attena channels 1- what ever your tv goes to. it should now show up.

hopefuly I understood what your asking, and what I have said has helped. If not please just post an other comment, and tell me more in detail what your current setup is and maybe I can help. Along with what type of tv you have.

Tv getting snow & static sounds on all channels.

This TV, I believe, does not have a digital tuner. If you're trying to pick up channels off the air with rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna, you'll need a digital converter box. Without one, there aren't any channels for it to tune in, so all you'll get is snow and static.

If you have a converter, or are using this TV with a cable box, satellite receiver or a similar device, you may have a bad connecting cable. Be sure the cable is firmly connected and that the center pin isn't bent or too short for a good contact. It should extend an eighth of an or so past the end of the connector. Try another cable.

If this set has been working properly and the trouble is new, something is up with the tuner. It may have been damaged during a storm or from power line problems. Poor solder connections may have developed on the circuit board. Other electronic failures may have occurred. If the trouble appears to be inside the TV, it's probably not worth repairing. The replacement cost of a small TV would be not much more (if not even less!) than the labor and parts to fix it.

I hope this has helped. if so, please take a moment to give a thoughtful rating. Thanks for using Fixya!

Are you connected to cable TV or an outdoor antenna? If on cable TV check the signal on another TV or if on an outdoor antenna you will need a digital TV adaptor to pick up local stations due to them not being available in analog anymore. Please take moment to rate my answer. Thanks...

No receipt of signal or antenae

Since it has voice or sound then I don't suspect the tuner but probably the tuner does not have the 33 volts that goes through r106 location number on the board. It is a 27K resistor and can be bought for about a dollar at Radio Shack. (pack of 2or3) A repairman or someone experienced in electronic soldering and desoldering can change it easily. Could cost around $50 to repair depending on the serviceman. If it has rca jacks (red, white and yellow) The tuner can be bypassed if you have a cable box that passed these signals: audio left and right and video. Hope this helps
