My a/c condensation drain was pushed into the frame and the water got under the carpet. I need to remove the carpet to clean and dry. Can you help?
Help do what? If this is a window air unit, the inner parts slide out of the outer shell. Slide it out ( into the room direction and refeed the drain line.
Ok, A car.Remove the passenger seat, the passenger door threshhold and the carpet should come down freely from the firewall under the dashboard. Once the carpet is up, Use a wet/dry shop vac to remove any water that is in the carpet. Placing an object underneath to hold it off thhe floor. open the doors and find a fan or bloer you can ventilate an driy the best you can.The shop vac should pull the greater part out off the carpet, but you will have to dry under it to prevent rust and odor. The AC drain should not have a hose on it. The drain outlet is a rubber piece under the blower housing under the hood in front of the passenger. Feel under the housing and you should fell it. It's like a coin purse of old. Swueeze itt and stick you finger in it to make sure it's clear. Good Luck.
