Question about Heating & Cooling
I need to know how knowing the freezing point of water can save lifes. Please give a referance.
By lowering the body's temp at time of injury it prevents cell damage to major organs ( in the event of a heart attack the temp is very important due to the amount of cell damage that occurs in such a short amount of time) Persons have drown in 33 f water being submerged for 5 minutes or longer and are revived due to the body's temp drop there isn't much damage done to the brain because of the lesser amount of brain cell damage due to temp The colder the body the longer time is allowed for revival. Check info on cyrogenics for a better idea of the reson the temp is important Hope I didn't confuse you with this explaination
