Question about Lastolite Cameras

2 Answers

I have a Lastolite 3' cubelite. Is the front of the cube where the Cublite logo is located? Also does the cube require a special reflector or will any fitting reflector do. How does the reflector attach to the Cube. Do all Cubes come with a removable background and is the background necessary. Can I buy the clips for the background at a hardware store. If so how shall I describe them? My Cube has a zipper opening, one vertical and one horizonal. How best is it to use these openings? Sincerely, Mark Hames

Does the Cubelite require a special reflector if one is used? If one is used how is it attached to the Cube if needed? How shall I describe the clip used to hang a background to my hardware store?

Yes it requires a speacial reflector.the lastolite provides this reflectors. In the smaller Cubelite’s the reflector acts as a second light by bouncing the light from one side of the Cubelite, back into the subject being photographed, from the other side. Because the distance between the light source and the reflector is relatively short (either 2ft, 3ft or 4ft) this works successfully. The larger Cubelite’s are 5ft and 6ft 6inches wide and the light/reflector combination does not work as effectively so we supply lights for both sides instead. ---------- and about backgrounds ---- Yes. All the kits come with a white background, but we also sell a range of 31 different colored paper backgrounds. You can also use other materials such as fabric, wood, slate, metal etc. The choice is yours. The extra large floor space allows the photographer to create entire scenes or vignettes.---------- for more detailed help click this link directly http://www.cubelite.com/faq.htm -------- thanks.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.

Any fitting reflector will work with the cubelite. Most models do have the logo on the front, yes. Yes they all can do removable backgrounds, and no you can use just the basic white, no background needed. You can buy the clips from a hardware store if you want, it's pretty easy to rig it up for sure.

There are videos showing you exactly how to set it up and use it at:

Do I require any special tools to replace the driver's side rear reflector on the bumper of a 2008 Hyundai Vera Cruz. It appears to snap in, but I don't want to break it. Thanks.

There's nothing in the manuals about special tools. I have the same problem. I think you'll have to remove the lower bumper in order to get good access to it. It appears that there is a black housing screwed into the bumper from the rear side and the lens would snap into that.

CCFL backlight flickering or going out when adjusting screen

Yes you can replace the CCFL lamp.
To replace the CCFL lamp requires removing the front screen bezel, removing the LCD screen from the frame and the reflector which is located on the bottom edge of the LCD screen. The CCFL lamp is located inside the reflector and the electrical wires on the ends of the CCFL lamp are connected to the inverter board.

To confirm if the monitor is faulty and not the video card, try connecting a different monitor to your computer.

Hi just got a second hand bush blu ray player, plays normal DVDs but won't play blu rays! Can you help? Thanks Jez

There should be nothing special about playing the different DVDs. Putting in a normal DVD compared to a BluRay should not require you to do anything different.

Look at the front of the DVD player and look for the BluRay logo. If you do not see it on the front of the DVD player then you do not have a BluRay player.

My scotman model sce170a1a.goes into harvest to

That has to be a faulty control wouldn't you think?
The cube size control should only be adjusted to
bring the cubes to the correct shape, the overall
size cannot be adjusted. Try to adjust the cube
size control when the ice machine is in the harvest
cycle, or in the first 10 minutes of the freeze cycle.
1. Open the door and remove the control box
cover.
2. Locate the cube size adjustment screw, and to
make fuller cubes, turn the screw clockwise about
1/4 turn. This will make the freezing cycle longer.
3. To shorten the freezing cycle and make cubes
that are not as full, turn the adjustment screw 1/4
turn counterclockwise.
4. After the next freezing cycle, the cubes should
have responded to the adjustment, if another
adjustment is required, do it early in the freeze
cycle.

Cube size adjustment location on lg refrigerator

The icemaker requires a water pressure of 1.5 - 8.5kgf/cm2. It is acceptable if the water supply fills a cup of 180cc with water in 3 seconds. The icemaker produces small cubes if the water fed into it is not enough and lumped together if too much water is supplied. In order to obtain the desired size of ice cubes, the amount of water supplied to the ice maker needs to be adjusted. Adjust the valve supplying water to the icemaker or the unit in general in such a way that right amount of water fills the ice tray.
