I have installed window 98 on a Dell Dimension 2400 with a foxconn IS-36 motherboard and need the driver. I am having problems finding any drivers since this system's recommended OS is XP or Vista. Does this motherboard support win98?

Use another computer to visit the site and make sure that Microsoft XP shows in the OS search drop down. Expand the section labeled Network. The wired network adapter is a Broadcom 4401. A more recent driver for XP is available from Broadcom at: http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/4401.php . Select the driver for the 32-bit version for XP.

Hey Tim,.
Once you installed Windows 7 onto the hard drive you would need to have installed the drivers. The one driver that is needed for resolution is the video card.You can right click on the desktop and then choose screen ressolution to see if you can change the resolution. Unfortunately, Dell does not have any Windows 7 drivers for the Dimension 2350 system.

Yes the drivers are available for dell pcs online. You don't have to pay to download drivers. I can give you the download link provided you give me the correct model no. of this pc. I believe you have given me a serial code? Is this a Dell Dimension 2400 model? As for the dvd problem its a problem with the windows operating system you will have to do a repair installation of windows using the disc.

The beauty of Dell is you can use the service tag to find exact configurations. Since I didn't have that I did find 2400 series drivers at http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_CEL_2400&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

This may give you the items you need, Dload to a jump drive and then move to the PC and allow PC to extract them then follow the add hardware wizard or update driver from hardware listing. The drivers may also include their own setup file.
