You can if your model supports the outside speakers. Check the user manual. Normally TVs do not support external speakers but they have outputs that would allow you to connect them to external amplifiers or surround systems. Again, all this information should be in your user manual with pictures and detailed explanation of how and where to plug the cables.

Can I add speakers to my tv?

Another favourable option is to add BlueTooth speakers that can make your speaker placement wireless and easier without running cables behind furniture, etc. You would need a Bluetooth adapter either pluggable into your TV or externally from cable plugs. It helps that your TV has built-in Bluetooth or Wifi to make this option possible.

Only one speaker works, then later the rest works. What do I need to do

Are the speakers external, outside away from the computer? If yes, either a loose connection point where the wire attaches to a terminal or a internal break of the copper wire under the insulation of the wire. Replace jack and wires with new ones and/or find loose wire and tighten or solder depending on how it is attached.

Sanyo TV speakers are going out

The speakers in these TVs are their weakness. More over you may not get the original speakers easily. Here is the solution if you can do it. It is the rubber ring between the paper cone and the metal body which gets cracked and cause crackled sound. Take a tube of RUBBER solution (the one we use for general purpose sticking) and cover the rubber ring with it properly. Let it dry and put the speakers back. Your speakers will sound as good as original. Good luck. You will not need to use the outside speakers.

I cant get my emerson led tv to accept any form of sorround sound

If there are RCA audio output connectors on the rear of your Emerson TV, they should direct your TV audio to an external amplifier to which your speakers are attached. You don't mention this arrangement in your description

Where do you hook up outside speakers

'Outside' is not a choice on the unit.

If you want to drive a separate amplifier with speakers somewhere you could replace the Main Channel Pre-Out jumpers with an RCA-Y-adapter and slave the second amp and speakers to this unit's volume controls; or you could attach a second amplifier to either TAPE REC OUT pair and the external amp and speakers would have independent control of volume locally.

How do I conect external radio/speakers to my lg 42lh40-ua

There are many options here. Most HDTVs today have analog audio and digital audio output jacks. You can use RCA audio cables or a 3.5mm connector, whichever your HDTV has to connect the analog stereo output of the TV to any number of devices such as a stereo/amp which has speakers attached. You could also connect an FM transmitter to the TV and send the audio wirelessly to a nearby FM radio, boombox, portable etc. Most HDTVs today have a digital audio output, typically optical, which uses a digital audio cable ($15) to connect to a surround sound receiver. You can also connect the stereo analog output jack on the TV to a 2.4GHz transmitter and receiver speaker combo to get wireless audio outside, in a swimming pool and so forth, all around the house using wireless speakers. These setups usually cost around $150 or so. Look for the jack on the TV labeled AUDIO OUT and see if it is the white and red 2 jack ports or the smaller 3.5mm single jack port. Adapter cables are available at Radio Shack for around $10 should you need them. So you see the options are almost endless.

Yes you can.
Speakers are probably good unless they were subjected to the elements(outside TV's do get damaged sometimes from being outside on patio ,etc.

No problem. What I was suggesting you could do with the speakers is to splice the positive (it should be red or white) speaker wire to the hot part another separate RCA (I used the side input) jack and the ground to the jack's ground sleeve (the outer part). So the process is similar to what you're already doing with the component RCAs and wires. Once this is done you can hook a receiver up to the built in speakers in the TV with no hassle. The speakers will not be powered, however, so you can't just hook the audio output from your cable box to the TV. All this process allows you to do is hook a powered amp or receiver to the speakers.

What I meant by saying to make sure there are no grounds was to double check and make sure each bit solder did not bridge over to another strand of metal or the metal chassis of the TV and cause a short or a ground.

Anything else, just let me know.
