Bellow came off during wash cycle

The bellow became twisted with the clothes. I have untangled. Now I need to know how to put it back on along with the metal hoop with the spring. Or does it need to be replaced?

If the metal retaining clamp is still intact and the spring is not broken or stretched, it can be reinstalled. Inspect the bellow and make sure it is not damaged as well. If this is a simple matter of reinstalling the bellow along the door frame, follow these steps:

1. Install the bellow back over the frame of the door opening ensuring it fits snug all the way around the door opening.

2. Beginning at the top of the door, start inserting the wire hoop back into the groove. Make sure to wire spring points towards the bottom.

3. As you work your way around the door to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions, you will need to maintain some constant downward pressure while pulling the spring apart in order to snap it back into place.

It may be advisable to use a second set of hands to hold the wire hoop in place while doing this as it has the tendency to want to come out of the groove.

If the bellow was pulled completely off the wash tub as well, follow the steps in this link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385211-replacing_door_bellow_whirlpool_duet

Make sure the rear clamp on the tub facing is in good condition. Do not overtighten as this can damage the clamp and seal. Also make sure all the small dispenser hoses that penetrate the bellow are installed correctly and not broken.

If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you,

You may need to replace the bellow and the band that holds it on they don't usually just fall off.
Here is a link to the repair manual.

My washing machine starts washing and then goes to spin and the clothes get tangled all the timeand then stops untangle clothes and then it goes back to start pls help

Possible that there is fault on the controller unit as the cycle outputs are irregular. You need to check the INLET water flow and also the drain flow to confirm there is no delay in filling and exit. If there is no issues then the panel can be suspected.

I have a foul smell coming from my washer everytime I use it...It almost smells like sewer gas...HELP!!!

you probably just need to clean the bellow. Thats the rubber that goes around the tub and door. f not cleaned, it will get moldy and smelly. Theres a tablet that you can buy called affresh. just put the machine on a regular cycle if it doesn't have a clean or sanitize cycle, and put the tablet in. Let the machine complete the cycle. (without clothes). You can even try wiping the bellow out with vinegar. after each wash i suggest you wipe the machine out, drying the bellow and glass. Leave it open for about half an hour, to let it air out.

Door seal came undone

As long as the door bellow is not damaged in any way, it can easily be reinstalled. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574186-installing_a_door_bellow_on_a_front_load

Refer to step 12 to re-install the front bellow clamp (wire hoop). This can be accomplished by yourself, but it goes much faster with the assistance of another person.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have Kenmore Elite HE3 Front Load Model 110.5862400. The rubber gasket/bellow got wadded up with clothes and popped out along with the clamp. How do I put back together. There is no damage but I don't...

The following link explains the steps required to install a door bellow on a front loader:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574186-installing_a_door_bellow_on_a_front_load

Inspect the bellow and the front and rear clamps to ensure they are not damaged. If the bellow has any rips or tears, it must be replaced or it will leak.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Overloading the washer can contribute to items getting caught in the bellow and causing premature wear. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for proper loading.

Agitator does NOT spin along w/ drum during spin cycle

If this is the old style that uses a belt, it is not worth fixing. But the problem sounds like the wig-wam is not functioning properly. Most of the time it was a wire broken since it moves back and forth constantly.

Kenmore Elite Front Load Washer

The rubber boot is called the "door bellow". The following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385210-replacing_door_bellow_kenmore_elite

If the bellow is not ripped or torn, you probably will NOT have to replace it. If the front bellow clamp (wire hoop) is the only thing that came loose, you will need to reseat the bellow around the door frame opening and reinsert the bellow clamp. The link explains this in Step 12 (I suggest you use a second set of hands to assist you). Now...if the bellow is torn, or if the clamp is damaged, you will need replacment parts. Let me know if you require additional assistance. I hope this helps you.

NAV5800a top loader washer

The inside of your agitator became worn, and possible strip out the spline that allows the agitator to properly grip the shaft. The loud noise mustly occurs during the spin cycle. If you hear this loud noise your load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it.

Close very wrinkled

I have the same problem with clothes being very wrinkled and clumped together after a full cycle. I believe it is not because of the spin cycle, but because the washer using very little water to wash the clothes, so they bunch up easily and are not free flowing. NOW, I try to use the cycle that uses the "Deep Clean" action or I activate it manually with all other cycles. It adds more water to the cycles and the clothes come out wrinkled, but not as much. Try it.
