My several year old PC will not. Display powers on shows press to enter setup on left ad
U8668 Bios vC01 on the right will not get past this step.

    I think it is setup that way, however, it did not even let me get that far, or get into the setup to even check. Basically it locks up at the initial screen that says press to enter setup on left and on right lists U8668 Bios vC01.

    when i press it says "entering setup...." but never goes past that screen. Seems like the bios may be corrupt. I tried to clear the CMOS by changing the jumper settings and returning to normal like in manual, but exactly same issue remains.

I just went through this thursday with a Dell inspiron. I was in the middle of a system restore and it just shut down before it even had a chance to begin the restore. I unplugged it and removed the battery the harddrive and the processor heat sink. I cleaned under the heat sing on top of the processor and the bottom of the sink itself. I reassembled the unit and it came back to life. Give it a shot. Try the battery and unplugging a couple extra times if necessary.

Remove hdd password

You can change it but not 'remove' it. Simplest is to use '00000' as the default password.
Instructions
1 Shut down your computer.
2 Press the power button on your computer. While it is booting, press F2 repeatedly (do not just hold it down) until you arrive at a system screen showing a series of
options. This screen is called the BIOS Setup.
How to change the password on a Dell computer hard drive
Password Vault
Secure, centralized password vault for enterprises. Try now. manageengine.com/PasswordManagerPro
3 Use the down arrow key on your keyboard to scroll down to "Security" in the left-hand column.
4 Arrow right to display a sub-menu under Security in the left-hand column.
5 Arrow down to "Internal HD PW" in the left-hand column. (That stands for Internal Hard Drive Password.)
6 Delete the old password (if any) and, in the same box, enter a new password of at least four characters in length in the main screen at right.
7 Write the password down and keep it in a safe place.
8 Hit Enter.
9 Hit the Escape button on your keyboard to exit the Internal HD PW menu, then hit Escape again to proceed to the Exit screen of the BIOS Setup.
10 Arrow right to save the changes you made to the password, then hit Enter on your keyboard to exit the BIOS Setup.
11 Restart your computer and use the password you created in the BIOS Setup to gain access to your hard drive.

Hewlett Packard AllInOne 3101125F When I power on I get no video

these PC are odd ducks, id never buy one, due to there ODD construction, but people do. and fixing it is not easy,
but there you have it.
try a new power pack? yet.
try to find and external VGA jack and use and external screen there?
try to get in to BIOS YET< does it work ? screen work like that.
the goal now must be get BIOS working first, the booting then windoz.
see?
the correct name is
HP TouchSmart 310-1125f Desktop Computer its more of a laptop stuffed in a Desktop screen. really
6 years old.
after adding the Hypen to the p/n HP shows the product support.
310-1125f
I only have questions, after all I cant run it and watch it.
1: does the fan run inside.
2: does BIOS work per the manual.
3: can you hear the hard disk spin
4: does the screen ever show text words, like it did when it worked
at power on, like" press ESC key to setup Bios" does it.
if BIOS is dead, there is NO POWER to the MOBO.
work power.
this PC has no VGA port, on the rear, so testing any PC lacking this key PORT (or DVI or HDMI) make testing it HARD.
the power jack has an LED on the MOBO that glows. does it?
Id say if the BIOS screen is DEAD the power is gone.
can be power pack or far far worse, (why not get it fixed? by a TECH)

Please can you tell me how to change time and date. thank you. Wendy

The current time and date are shown on the display when the machine is on and ready for use (standby mode). The time and date are printed on all faxes you send.
Note: If power to the machine is cut off for over 30 minutes, when power is restored, the machine prompts you to reset the time and date.
1. Press Setup. The display shows the first setup menu; FAX NUMBER/NAME.
2. Press left arrow or right arrow until 'TIME/DATE SETUP' appears, then press
Start/Enter. The display asks you to choose a date format.
3. Press Start/Enter.
4. Press left arrow or right arrow until you find the desired date format, then press
Start/Enter.
If you select USA, the time and date appears in the order of month, day, then year. The EUROPE format will be displayed in the order of day, month, then year.
The display shows the currently set time and date using the selected date format.
5. Enter the correct time and date using the number keypad.
Day = 01~31
Month = 01~12
Year = four digits
Hour = 00~23
Minute = 00~59
You can also use left arrow or right arrow to move the cursor under the digit you want
to correct, then enter a new number.
6. Press Start/Enter when the time and date on the display is correct. If you enter an invalid number, the machine beeps and does not proceed to the next step. If this happens, just reenter the correct number.
The display shows the time and date you have set, then returns to
Standby mode.

Biostar u8668 grand does not power up when agp

Good Day sir, try to check the CMOS/BIOS setup, and go look for Initial Display First, there are several options, Onboard / AGP / PCI. OR, after you remove your AGP, clear the CMOS/BIOS setup. find the jumper wire near the battery this sets your motherboard to factory setup and uses the onboard VGA. test the pc without the AGP.

Computer won't boot or won't even enter setup

Try disconnecting all peripherals then boot up, except for those you need, i.e. video card, keyboard... If that doesnt work you may need a BIOS update... Refer to the picture below to find your BIOS code, the four numbers represent the date which you must use to find out if you need an update...
