More likely: the solenoid which directs the water to either the drain or the spray arm is clogged/jammed. Located underneath near the drain line.

SOURCE: Water inlet not filling

check it has drained completely after the last cycle.
if that is ok, take top off and check continuity thro the inlet valve coils

SOURCE: Maytag MDB6650AWW will not fill

My Maytag MDB6650AWW dishwasher would not fill. The lights on the panel were on when I tried the wash cycle. I tested the water valve but no voltage was found during the cycle. I thought it may be the timer/control circuit. I traced the power from the door switch and found no power going to the float switch leg. I found two wires completely cut through (one going to the Water Valve) and three others partially sliced.

SOURCE: water not entering dishwasher

Just fixed same problem. My fix was to jump out the heated dry switch. I tied the black with white tracer to the orange. This got the water valve and the drain valve working. This was after I removed the timer and checked all the contacts for continuity.

What does E17 mean

hello there and welcome to fixya
the f-17 error code is activated by the water supply side meaning that the water fill solinoid may have failed or is not fully opening
thus the machine is sensing that there is not enough water pressure
so first check to ensure that the water inlet hose is not kinked and that the strainers at the ends of the hose is not clogged next reinstall the water hoses and ensure that the valve is fully turned on and getting good water pressure
now unplug the machine for at least 30 min to allow the computer to reset itself then plug it back in and retry and if the error code does appear again then you know that you may have a bad inlet solinoid fill valve ok
Please post me any wuestions that you may have
best regards mike

Cold waeter inlet (somewhere besides the shut off valve) very slow. checked hose and shut off, screen not blocked..

hi, are you refering to your machine not producing cold water? If so then you might wont to check your main water pressure from the inlet hose first to ensure that pressure isnt the cause of the decrease in water flow. If pressure is ok then the problem will most likely be a faulty Inlet Solinoid valve being clogged due to tiny particals in the water causing the internal diaphragm of the valve to stick. Worst case scenario is your control module is faulty and is not sending adequate voltage to the solinoid terminals, hope this helps.

Cold water won't flow fast. Hot water only is fine warm water is slow and cold water almost nothing. Cleaned filter etc Thank you

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
The best way is to explain this is like this the washing machines water inlet valve has a solinoid for the hot and a solinoid for the cold and when one of these start to fail the will slowly close untill the solinoid will no longer allow the valve to open so this is why your water pressure is getting low going into the machine for the cold side ok?
So what you are going to have to do is to replace the faulty water valve solinoid.
I would really suggest to replace the valve as a whole it ensures that you have a new part.ok?
Hope this helps if yo need any further dissassembly help let me know and i can assist you if needed
Best regards Mike..

Maytag washer does not shut off after filling the tub

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
normally when this happnes this means that the water inlet valve is leaking by and needs to be changed see what happnes is that there is a solinoid for the cold and 1 for the hotand after time theyse solinoid valves will start to wear out along with the internal parts of the valve this is a very common thing that happnes to washing machines ok so i would first check this valve out and get it replaced then if this still doesent fix the problem than you may have a problem with your water level switch that determines the water level in the machine and senses when it has the proper amount of water in it normally the onluy thing that goes wrong with these is that they tend to stick evey once in a while or they go out all to gether and need to be repaced but this is fairly uncommon (but it does happen) ok ?
Hope this helps you out
Best regards Mike

My machine is not filling with water

Chack that there is water pressure at your supply point. Check that the screen in the supply pipe is not clogged with scale. If the above are ok, check that the inlet solenoid valve is operating, you should be able to hear it click on opening. Anything further probably needs a repairman.

We have a Zanussi Washing machine ZWF 14581W. The problem is we have no water entering the machine. I have removed and cleaned the water inlet hose which is not blocked. I have also emptied the emergency...

My guess is that the water inlet valve solenoid is not operating. DISCONNECT FROM POWER. Take top off, The assembly connected to the inlet hose is the inlet valve solenoid. Do you know how to use a test meter? If so remove the wires from the solenoid connect meter to the wires on appropriate range and check for mains on the wires as you start a washing program the machine. THIS IS DANGEROUS SO IF YOU AREN'T OK ASK SOMEONE COMPETENT. You must ensure that the connections to the meter cant touch anything at all when you switch on !!!!!. SO HANDS OFF If mains is getting to the wires at the fill stage the valve is broken. Replace it, it is obviously held by screws. As an alternative you could use a mains tester screwdriver and see if it lights up when touching one of the terminals as fill is selected. If the fill valve is getting power and not operating it's the valve. If not the problem lies elsewhere but you don't mention any error codes so I assume the door switch is OK. If it thinks the door is not shut it won't fill. Hope that helps.

Dishwasher power there but wont fill up with water makes a slight buzz sound any ideas please ?? It's a Zanussi zdt6252 by the way..

The slight buzz is coming from the water inlet valve solinoid. It's OK.

But check whether water is getting into the inlet tube of the washer. Check the filter at the rear of the dish washer body wher the inlet tube from your water tap is connected.

KitchenAId KUDK02CR does not fill in water . Neither switch nor motor sound coming out of the unit

1.Check main water inlet.

2. Check filter located near the machine body hose pipe inlet.

If these are OK Solinoid valve inside the machine to be checked for functioning.

Washer fails to start. Power o.k. and water supply on. Filters cleaned. When set to start makes regular sound as if trying to start cycle. Any advice please?

Hi.

Check if the water is flowing inside machine or not.

If the tub is not filling, test the water level device (usually a float switch located on a side inside the tub).

Ensure that the switch is not stuck, and test the switch using a multimeter to ensure it is closing and opening. Disconnect power before testing the switch.

If water level is OK, then test the water valve.

The inlet valve is tested reading impedance on valve solenoid contacts. Disconnect power and remove the valve first.

If the valve solenoid is showing no continuity, then the valve must be replaced.

A dual valve sometimes can also be tested swapping hot and cold inlet contacts.

All test and repairing must be done by a professional.

To get a quote on repair, check warranty status or get parts, call Zanussi at the number listed on the owners manual.

Wash Machine WA950SCJ won't fill up

Washer dryers often have cold water valves with 3 separate solenoids. One for the main wash and rinses (which is clearly ok) and one for the condition rinse (to take the fabric conditioner down) which is probably ok too, and the 3rd one is for the dryer. It's possible this 3rd solenoid has failed.

Washer dryers need on a steady trickle of cold water running into the condenser chamber to convert the steam into water, which then gets pumped down the drain.

e10 means that there is a problem with the water supply.
a condenser dryer needs cold water to operate properly. the e10 code will appear if:
1. the water is turned off
2.the water pressure is too low.
3.the solenoid valve is open circuit
4.there is a problem with the pressure switch (least likely)

Cold valve is at the end of blue inlet pipe remove lid and you will see it.

f E10 is only appearing when trying to dry, the problem almost certainly is the condenser valve solenoid open circuit. The green solenoid on the inlet valve. Should read about 4000 ohms.

My money would be on the solenoid coil being open circuit. The coil can be canabalised from most valves although you may have to modify the connections. For simpler repairs - contact Zanussi and get the entire triple inlet water valve to swap out.
