Question about Computers & Internet
You should at least try turning it on/off using a remote if you can't turn it on/off on the TV keyboard. Pulling the the plug on it and turning it on by plugging into the wall isn't a good thing to do, you will eventually burn something out in your power supply or elsewhere due to the harsh transient currents you are subjecting your electronic components to. Your power supply may have a relay in it that delays activationg some components until others are energized and you are bypassing all that with your method.
