Question about Samsung Televison & Video
It sounds like the lamp bulb, I had the same problem and I took the bulb unit out of the back, cleaned it out really good and replaced it, it works fine now and I didn't have to buy a new bulb unit for about $200.00. Good luck.

Testimonial: "Much Thanks"
I had the same issue with my television. I researched the problem on the web for a couple of weeks and narrowed the problem down to the power boards in the television. I purchased both the main board and the sub board, the sub board first. The main board ended up being the issue. I was able to find the part number on the web and purchased it. I installed it and all is well now.
The part number I purchased was BP44-01001A. The cost was $116 and change. It's easy to replace and should only take about 10 minutes. Also, you can download the service manual from the web and it will explain how to remove and install parts for this specific television.
