Question about Acer Extensa 4620 Notebook
ACER EXTENSA 4620-4605 model
How do I know if my screen needs to be replaced or it is a problem with a cable or graphic card?
My computer screen will begin by flickering then proceeds to fadeout completely. With a little wiggling the screen will come back...onlyto fade out again.
If you wiggle the screen and it comes back, then it is not your Video card. Probably just a loose connection with your LCD cable to the LCD screen. Although you may also need a new screen/cable.
The weird thing is that it "fades" out... which would indicate a bad screen to me.. but securing the cable is alot cheaper to try first.
Completely rule out your graphics card by connecting your laptop to an external monitor... if it works fine for a long period of time then your card is fine.
