Hi there,

First of all you need to remove the top panel and each fin has 2 5/16 screws holding them to the drum. turn the drum so the fin is on top and remove the screws then remove the coins, do vice-versa after removing the drums to install new one.

post further comments for more information ....

Thanks

My dishwasher kenmore 16529000

When you move the float up and down do you hear the click of the switch? It is real faint but noticeable. If you removed the float to clean it it may not be contacting the switch. When did it stop working? There is a thermal fuse for over heat protection and if that is blown it has to be replaced and the reason it blew fixed.

Kenmore Elite 137889, grinding noise

If the noise is like a shaking of rattling , like coins being shaked , then it is an object trapped inside the tub.

If instead the noise is a loud grinding , that may get louder on high speed, then it is usually a bad drum bearing.

The drum bearing is replaced by accessing the bottom side of the washer, and is a not a simple repair.

Water not draining and not clean

When dirty water is left in the dishwasher the pump assembly is a primary cause. To assure that the dishwasher gets fully repaired and you are going to do the work yourself, I would order and install this part:

http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-16529000-%3d%3dc261i1065702&PartID=1065702

Also, check that the heating element is working. Many people replace the heating element whenever they replace the pump/ motor.

Good Luck!
