10 namps is insufficient to charge properly a 12v battery The ciotcuit should deliver 13 -13.5v amps to get anywhere near a decent charge.
I would suspect that a diode in the charge circuit has failed . Replace or repair the charger
Most likley the battery you are charging is beyond it's life span/shelflife.
If the battery in question is completely disconnected from everything and the ampmeter is still trying to give full output than the battery is at fault.
Remove the inverter from the battery bank, unplug for 45 minutes, and then hook it back up.
There is an internal rail switcher that engages to stop the charging.
Let me know if it helps!
Hi there,

I have 4 NEW Interstate Batteries - they haol 13.5 on meter - they are all good
the DC amps in the unit are showing -10
we wil try this - I don'y really know what I'm doing - is it dangerous?
I need to know why my xantrek is not showing DC amps after chargeing - Also if I run the diesel eng in the unit while I groom I do not lose battery power BUT if I turn off the engine I can only groom a couple of dogs - Until 2 month ago I could groom 8 - 10 dogs on one overnight charge - what could have changed????
tHE BATTERIED (4) ARE brand new iNTERSTATE - WE HAD THEM INSTALLED LAST WEEK AND ARE FULLY CHARGED
