Washer fills up with water but does not start to wash/agitate

if you don't hear the motor running you have a bad lid switch,if you do hear the motor but no agitation you have a broken motor coupling.
most likely you have a broken lid switch, close the lid, then open it around 6 inches, close it and open it a few times,as you do this if you don't hear a clicking sound the switch is bad, part number 8054980 and it's around 25 dollars.
watch this video, when you click on it look down on the left side it will say replacing new style, click on it and it will show you your will show you how to make sure it's the lid switch but if you don't hear any clicking when you open and close the lid the switch is bad, also if the lid is pushed in from putting the laundry basket on top of it open the lid and wack the center of the lid to pop it back up,i've done this before when the lid is dented in and this fixes the problem, the arm that's connected to the lid doesn't hit the switch correctly with the lid dented in but usually the switch is bad and needs to be replaced.
watch the first part of this video and it will show you how to open the top console, this is different from your lid switch this is just to get you into the top so you can change the switch.good luck,if you need anymore help let me know and i hope this helps you out

I put the clothes in washer it filled up but it would not start agitating Model # is LAT9605AAE and serial # is 13670953My Thank You

The lid switch may be out of adjustment or broken. Open the control panel and locate the lid switch. With the control panel open look at the lid switch mechanism as you open and close the lid. Make sure the slide is making contact with the lid switch.
If your model has a fuse on the lid switch verify the fuse is not blown.

My washing machine has stopped and won't rinse or spin. could it be da lid swictch?

If it's a top load machine there is a good chance that it is , also check to see if the lid on it is not bowed on some top load washers may have the switch in the rear, and can cause that switch not make contact. what you can do is open the lid and look on the right and look for the hole where the lid striker makes contact ,and use a screwdriver or similar object and press in and then put the timer on spin if it works then your lid switch is broken, what happened is that the bracket or body is worn out or broken, replaced it and it will be good as new.

Had new timer and new water gauge and still stops between cycles and won't drain

what is the model number?if it's an older machine you could have a broken lid switch or a broken motor coupling.close the lid down and open it a few inches,do this a few times,if you don't hear a clicking sound you have a broken lid switch,if you can hear the motor running and the machine isn't moving you broke the motor coupling.let me know how old it is and the model number

Keep putting in new batteries but the camera power on then when I turn the camera back on the camera do not come on

Hi,the problem you are encountering is definately a power problem which is possibly from a broken little switch under the battery lid.Here is the solution;
1.Check the little switch beneath the battery lid,it might be missing or broken,if it's broken you have to solder it bact to its place with the help or a soldering iron,if its missing you have to purchase another one from a part shop.

2.A temporary solution(maybe permanent),you can jump a tiny connecting wire on the switch, which makes it on a constant on status.
NOTE;by doing so,you won't have the battery lid detect function. The camera can be turned on even when the battery lid is open.

Thanks and take care

Mine wont spin

Your problem is more likely a broken lid switch. To test for this, lift the washer cover and look for a small hole in the washer top where the cover was. Push a toothpick gently into the hole and press the piece of plastic you see in the hole downward and listen for a soft clicking sound. If you don't hear a click or the plastic tab is not in the hole replace the lid switch.

Unplug the washer. Check the actuator on the lid that operates the lid switch to see if broken. Open the console of the washer. After removing the screws, the console will lift up and hinge back. Disconnect the plug going to the lid switch. Picture. Check the lid switch [lid closed] with an ohm meter from the wire plug-in leading to the switch. If no continuity, replace the lid switch. You will need to remove the cabinet to replace the switch. There are only a couple screws holding the lid switch assembly and a ground wire connection to the cabinet. Reassemble the washer and test the operation.

Unplug washer, remove the two console screws and tilt console back, remove cabinet clips, unlock lid switch block and then remove the cabinet. Remove the lid switch mounting screws, disconnect ground wire and remove lid switch assembly. Compare old switch to the new one. If the plastic sleeve of the new switch is longer, break off at the score mark. Pull wire partially out of sleeve before shortening sleeve. If the sleeve had to be shortened, the wires must be looped to take up the excess wire. Use supplied wire tie from the new kit. Install new switch assembly. New lid switch

Pay VERY close attention to assembling case back onto base so that sides engage tabs in base.

Kenmore washer. 4564191

ok it will not drain or spin! thats going to be the lid switch.if you look where the lid meets the washer body there is a small hole.under that hole is the switch i am speaking should be tight up against that hole from underneath, also on the lid the actuator, the pice that goes into the hole should not be repair is another story.the eazy for now way might be stick somthing in the hole so the switch will make contact.but that works only if switch not to badley broken.other wise would need new switch and have to take off washer shell[cabinet]to install new switch.i know times are tight, for me too.i wish i could fix for you.but you know,distance..........anyway if you had some one i could instruct i would be happy to .God bless ,tom

Clothes are soaking wet because it doesnt spin.

check the door switch for broken or damaged wires. get a jumper wire to go from one wire to the other wire on the switch. If the jumper wire is connected and the washer spins out, then the door switch needs to be replaced
