Making a constant beeping sound, F1 blinks and the oven continues to get red hot. Is this something we can get a replacement part for?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
F1 error code in your GE is displayed when the oven temperature sensor goes bad, before replacing this sensor you can check it with a voltmeter. If it reads between 1050-1100ohms then it means that the temperature sensor is fine and the electronic control board needs replacement. However, after reading your question replacing the sensor is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

ON CHANNEL 47 THERE IS A BLACK SCREEN WITH DATE, TIME AND LID://T

Check the closed-caption settings on the TV. It's probably set for "text" now and should be "off". In text mode the screen is blanked out to make room for the text display, but there isn't any. On many channels or programs you'll never see anything, but it sounds like your channel 47 is actually presenting something.

BLANK DISPLAY AND CLICKING SOUND

This is the main control board failing. My symptoms were identical (intermittent display and clicking), and eventually the clicking didn't go away and the freezer got hot. I replaced the main board yesterday and all is well (display fixed and no clicking). I was able to find the correct part number using the GE website (entered refrigerator model PD22S1S and then selected PDS22S1SARSS from the drop-down list). My part number was WR55X10656. The GE price was shown as $157.50, but I bought mine from ApplianceZone.com for $101.68. Hope this helps.

Freezer Temp display sya -47 deg and won't change

Check with mfg for a hard reset of the electronics. There may be some sort of hidden code with which to accomplish this.
