It seems when I am watching faster pace shows the picture can't catch up with itself... As the camera moves, the picture is pixely/boxy. It looks like someone intentionally tried to 'block' what I am watching. I hope this makes sense! Help!

U turn tv on hear any squiling, grinding or motor noises?Picture show up before it shut down picture have flashes of black&white within the picture?Yes,to all of these, this tv have a colors wheel and it dead, require the colors wheel replacing. No,none of these problems. The tv projection lamp,if in this tv like a 1 1/2 or 2 years,tv ben on an watches like 4 or 5 hours a day?The "LAMP" LED light indication lite up or flahes, the projection lamp life is over.Require a new projection lamp.
make sure put the lamp door back before trying to turn it on because they have switches on them that allow the tv to turn on. If that is ok you probably have a bad ballast. Call a local tv repair shop to further diagnose the problem.
I have a DLP Samsung 61 inch. It has verticial curved wave lines, these lines seem to move. like it's not on the station good. (These lines are not black, but almost white in color.) All my other TV's in the same house, using the same sat. dish have good pictures. Could you tell me my problem and what part to look for. Thanks
If you are using Component inputs, check to make sure that the Blue Video Cable has not backed out of its connecting jack at either end or the cable it's self being bad. If you are using HDMI I would suspect that the Digital Board being bad. It would be odd for the Color Wheel to cause the problem but cannot eliminate it as a cause. The Lamp would cause the picture to be darker but not cause a color to drop out.
I would call a professional to trouble shoot it unless you have the knowledge and the tools to do so.
Hope this helps,
There are only 2 moving parts on a dlp tv the color wheel and the fan. The color wheel needs to be replaced about every 4 to 5 years. Some start to make noise and others like mine blow up with a bang. Go to utube to get instructions on how to replace it only cost me for part $100 good luck
This is a symptom of a defective capacitor in the vertical circuit, but not usually with a DLP machine. Can you post the model number of your set please? I should be able to provide you with the part designation of the defective part once I get the model number.
I get this too with my Samsung. Are you watching HD content or standard (cable, satellite) tv? If it's the latter, that's why. The lack of quality really shows on analog signals. The shows that I Tivo look horrible a lot of times. Another thing is the connection to the television. If you are using standard RCA connectors, try switching to either component or HDMI.
I have the same problem, the service people indicated this a manufacturer problem, they are not calling it a recall, but requires up graded parts which could take 30 days or more to receive. He said if they do not receive the parts in 30 days they might replace the TV. My TV is a Samsung DLP 61 inch
