Question about Bosch Dryers
I have a bosch wta3204/09 tumble dryer. It goes thru the cycle ok but doesn't heat up. I have changed the stats in the door and the two on the heater. The heater will come on twice for a few seconds at the start of the programme but never again unless i start the programme again.

THere maybe a thermal limit sensor gone bad. Keeps the dryer from over-heating. Located behind rear panel on most and mounted on the heat tube. Verify with volt/ohm meter if possible

If the dryer isn't heating, check for a blown thermal fuse or a faulty heating element. Both components can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty component. Both components are located in the rear of the dryer. The thermal fuse is about an inch long and is usually attached to or near the exhaust duct. Hope this helped and best wishes.

I had the same trouble after moving to a new house, I first thought I had a voltage problem. It turns out that the heating coil has a high temp re-setable switch in side the back - lower right side. the sencor has 2 screws, I took it out and cleaned off the lint and now have dryed 5 loads with 0 issues. looks like a flaw in design that would allow lint to get in the heating coils!!!!! I think I'm going to look for a new dryer before I burn down the house!!
